Don't waist your time and money. They don't teach you anything special here. You can learn all this on YouTube or buy the book for $10 instead of $350 or $400. They just teach you a few cocktails. All the equipment is broken, old, and outdated. I emphasize that this is not a good place for bartending school. read more

So informative!! Just got my certificate in less than 2 full weeks because they teach you knowledge of the alcohol you'll be handling, techniques, and are determined to find you a job as soon as you're finished. The course was enjoyable and challenging. I learned a lot that I couldn't have learned on my own. I enjoyed the teaching styles of both Megan and Sonny. They were personable and professional instructors who were genuinely invested in the success of students. I also received job assistance and was working my first catering gig immediately after passing the written and practical test. However, I promptly and vehemently followed up on the leads I was offered. They can help you get first dibs on openings, but it's up to you to go out and get them. So this is coming from someone who took the class finished in a week and a half went to the weekend events and has tried to find a job for 2-3 months now. Sadly i still haven't found one near me. If you don't live in sac expect to be driving 1 to 2 hours for most jobs that they give you. I got offered ONE weekend event. Because it was a 10 hour shift in the middle of the mountains that no one wanted to take. Took me 2 hours to get there (got lost by the way since no connection out there) Then 2 hours on the way home at 1am. I tried for 4 weeks straight trying to get in on ANY weekend job/event and they kept telling me that there's no openings. They say they will put you on the list but forget about you and never contact you. It's all on you and even then they'll tell you there's no openings. Just because you have the certification people would rather have raw experience than anything else. It's a whole big scam and they talk you into writing a good review when you finish. Haven't gotten anything from them since. No help, no offers, nothing. Waste of money better off working your way up in a restaurant. If you live west of sac more towards davis/dixon/vacaville. This course will only get you so far. All the job offers/weekend events are pass sac going the other way. For me it's not worth driving an hour and half/2 hours in prime time traffic for a 4 hour shift. Then driving home another hour on the way back. I came in super optimistic after the first 2 weeks. After that it all vanished. Conclusion: Big scam in my eyes. NOT WORTH IT FOR ME. Try out and see though, maybe i just didn't get the right help or they over looked me. Just my opinion. read more

I was very dissapointed in the class. Sunny helps 25 % of the time and the 75% he is just talking about sex. Im one of those people that needs 1 on 1 help and he would get updet when i called him over. Personally i dont have the knowledge of a bartender and i was wxpecting to learn something about thr buisness not hear sunny talk about sex. definetly avoid this place and save your money! Going into the whole thing, I was very excited and thrilled to start a new venture. I soon came to the realization that after being a student and now making a time for a change would be nice. I could have fun bartending and still do school/job on the side. The deal sounded nice when I had called in and inquired about some information. It probably took me two days to realize what I got myself into. I know I am pretty particular about my education, but it was the experience I was looking for. The instructors did show interest in their role to teach, but they lack the professionalism to be able to convey what it is we needed to do as bartenders. I understand we can not use real alcohol, but we were pouring water into glasses and most of the bottles were not there. The staff, especially the School Representative, is very disorderly. Her office says it all! I was in there and she kept saying I misplaced her paperwork that she was suppose to file! On top of that, I was in great disbelief when I had people tell me they went to ABC school too and all they were given was a # to call and a website to be able to look for recent job opportunities. You call on Tuesday and you look up information online, but either they do not have recent postings on the website or I must be mistaken. It was really an anxious experience and the only thing I took away was the drink recipes and how bartending experience is just that. You need to get the experience first- school really is indifferent. O, and on a side note their bathroom is disgusting. No toilet paper or soap! read more
