He took me right away and had the tire off like a NASCAR pit crew. He put the tire on the machine and couldn't find anything. Then he took the tire off and inspected the inside. He still couldn't find anything but he said that there was corrosion on the rim. He proceeded to wirebrush the entire rim on both sides. When he was done he put it all back together, and reinstalled it. I don't think I was there more than 20 minutes. After all that he only charged me $20. The best part? While looking at it, Stephanie offered to get the body guy (Larry from TLM Auto Repair next door) to look at my front passenger door which hasn't opened since my car was hit a few years ago. Larry came over, fixed the passenger door in 20 seconds, and wouldn't let me pay him ("It only took a minute..."). Unbelievable. Then the mechanic from Knucklebusters took my car for a spin, and checked all the things that have to do with steering, and found nothing wrong. He also didn't charge me ("I didn't find anything to fix..."). When was the last time I walked out of an auto repair place paying nothing? (I'll give you a hint, it's never...). These people are honest and seem to really enjoy helping people. I think if you have had bad experiences at other places, you should come here and enjoy being helped by this shop. So happy that they are in my city, but I would drive to get to them. If I did have something serious wrong with my car, I think they would be honest and affordable.

Jeff pressure tested the cooling system before just replacing the water pump. He not only found that the water pump was in fact leaking but the 26 year old, 172k mile radiator was also leaking. I asked Jeff to then replace both the water pump and the radiator. The whole job was done flawlessly as he had done before on my Wife's Ford Escape twice before. Absolutely highly recommend Jeff to anyone needing a quality, honest mechanic.

I learned about this auto repair place from my employer that used them to repair company cars…read more Initially the first four years were good except they had one female employee in 2021 answering the phones and always told me that they were booked solid. They had done my oil changes, my brakes, and a few other small things. I got suspicious when the fuel cleaning did not improve my gas mileage. This year (May) I took it to have the air conditioning looked at. My air conditioning went from cold to slightly cold, then to warm and then too hot over a period of two weeks. So I took it in and Larry the owner told me that I needed a new compressor at the cost of $1350.00. I do have a Warranty program, but I try not to use it because so far I have not used it at the end you get half the money back that you paid over the lifetime of the warranty. I called my warranty company and they approved it. Two days after I took it into Larry's auto care. I called on a Thursday and spoke to a female, which I believe was Larry's wife. She said she was very busy and would not get back to me that day, but she would get back to me the following day, which would be Friday. I never got called back Although my car is nine years old, I don't have 100,000 miles on it yet. I found it hard to believe it needed a brand new compressor. So I called Sam the owner of Revco. He had me bring it in right away, but kept it overnight which was fine. He called me the next day with a quote of $283. I didn't tell him about the experience with Larry's total auto care until after the fact.

I usually schedule our service with Roger (co-owner) but he was not working when I called to have a tire looked at. After looking at the tire Mike told me that it could not be patched and needed to be replaced. Of course he put the fear of God in me when I said that I wasn't prepared to replace the tire and asked to just add air to it, he said that I could have a blowout any second. After some discussion, I reluctantly agreed to purchasing 2 new tires. I had recently purchased all 4 Michelin tires from Seaside and asked if they would offer an adjustment for the replacement. Mike said "Did I cause you to get the nail in it?" I also asked if he would apply a loyalty discount because I had previously received that, he said NO! So, he had to order the tires and told me that it would be ready the next afternoon. When I returned to pick up and pay the $550+ I told him that I would not be back because of his ugly attitude. He said "Well, you were asking for everything free!" This is EXACTLY why I said that he is a LIAR...the word free never came out of my mouth, which makes me fully believe that he can't be trusted.
