Waited over 15 minutes for a chili dog, onion rings and a pop. Very few people in the restaurant. I finally went up to the counter to get the food and we didn't get our pop so I had to say something about that. The guy behind the cash register gave me a cup for the beverage but was rude about it. Also, onions were supposed to come with the dog but didn't. We definitely won't be back. read more

The drive through worker named Sandi was so uncomfortable to order from, she seemed annoyed that I was there to order food. I just didn't feel any niceness from her our entire interaction. A little more of a welcoming experience would be awesome! Food was nice and the order was correct. read more

Great find on our road trip. Ignore the bad reviews. This place is great Friendly fast service, even though they are crazy busy. Rootbeer is great. Rootbeer floats too. Food was hot fresh and delicious. Plenty of seating. read more

stopped by w a friend to get food. got 2 burgers and 2 dr peppers, simple order, and was not the busy. food was good, however the lady, Val, working the window was a fucking bitch. i asked her to replace to rootbeer she gave me with dr pepper, like i had originally ordered. she looked at me like i was insane then proceeded to raise her voice and with a strong attitude say, "yeah ill get it in a minute" then shooed me off and slammed the window. be kind val. do better. read more

Apparently the manager needs to get some hearing aides because saying your name he can't hear until you yell at him, employees bark at customers because of any issues with their manager and the manager allows it. I would call this a piss poor place to eat if this is how the manager runs the business. What a joke. read more

The food here is very good. Better than most here in Wheatland. The only thing i don't like are the prices. They are as high as a sit down restaurant. For one of their double burgers with a fry and malt it cost me 18.01 even with a coupon. I can get a nice healthy 12" sub at Subway for less than half of that. If they ever put a McDonalds up here along the highway it would be a goldmine for McDonalds. They would get many from the town itself and many travelers that drive by Wheatland. read more

Do NOT stop here unless you want to waste half an hour waiting to even place an order. We pulled in behind one other vehicle. Waited forever for someone to take their order (one person!). Got to the order box, and guy says he'll be right with us. Says that six more times over the next 25 minutes. Five other cars pulled in behind us and left before us because it was taking so long. We left 30 minutes after we arrived, no food, no one taking our order, nothing. The guy in front of us was still sitting at the window waiting for his food as we drove away. read more

This was just an okay location. We were not greeted by the worker as we walked up to the register to order our food. He just stared at us. No greeting, no smile, no nothing. I even said thank you after he gave me my receipt and he didn't respond. There was brown stuff on the cup lids. Food was on the chairs and tables. I've been to cleaner A&Ws but my son said the chicken tenders were very good. Although I really love A&W, I will not come back to this particular location. read more

This place is great The employees are wonderful Everything is hot and fresh made to order so worth the wait Used to be not be well taken care of but the manager there now has really cleaned it up she knows what she's doing and does it well She is nice if you have a problem just talk to her and let her know she will fix it Love this place always come to A&W in Wheatland, Wyoming read more

bad service, asked to wait for a minute while i decide and got screamed at. my food was sloppy not well put together and it did not taste to good. more of like plastic as well as the soda especially. my shake was very runny and warm not even cold. i don't recommend this place. read more

A&W - a man holding a cup of coffee - Burgers Near Me - Wheatland, Wyoming

A&W recently expanded to include their Chester Fried Chicken, which I view as somewhat of a mixed blessing. I am a big fan of A&W, but less so of fried chicken, so when they had to take away some of the A&W options for the new Chester's, I was a bit disappointed. That being said, if you're looking for fried chicken, I believe that this is the only place in town to find any. For fast food on the go, A&W's food is okay. Their burgers are all right, and their fries are pretty good. There are a few burgers that I like more than others (I really like their Mushroom and Swiss burger), so don't be discouraged if one isn't that great. However, by far the best part of eating at A&W is the on tap root beer. It's fresh, crisp, and refreshing. They even used to serve it in a glass mug, but they might have discontinued the practice due to theft. read more

So here is an A&W That does not serve draught A&W In the standard frosty mug. This is despite the fact that there are multiple signs throughout the store that say "made fresh in store with a real cane sugar". So when I ordered my route beer what I got was a paper cup and root beer out of the Pepsi machine in the lobby. Total disappointment - even the root beer from the Pepsi machine was not mixed properly and it tasted terrible. You would think that if they were to get one thing right - this would be it. It would've been better if they had just given me a can of root beer. Also this place is dirty and there are flies all over the place - seems like customer said this a year ago and they've done nothing to correct it. read more

I waited 20 mins for just a burger to go with no special additions to the order. Don't stop here if you're in a hurry. Average burger.

This place is always so slow. The food isn't bad but be prepared to wait any time of the day. Mike is always friendly.

Wait times are long, food is expensive. The food isn't worth it. I wasn't greeted at the register. The place needs updated.

I have a rule for road trip no fast food. Well I broke this rule. Hubby and I stopped here for burgers to go and they were quick. Placed order filled up our drink cups and the food was ready and hot. And got us back on our trip. read more

Disgusting! Flies everywhere, dirty floors and tables. I actually saw one of the employees wipe the sweat off their face and continue handling orders. Our order took 25 minutes and was not only cold but wrong when we finally got it! To add insult to injury, the employee I told about the problem was rude and made excuses. Thankfully a very nice young female employee (I think her name was Haley) took over and took care of refunding our money. We left and will not be returning. read more

Stopped to grab a quick bite so we could keep driving. We waited 15 minutes for our food and then took one bite once we were in the car and it was so bad we threw it away at the first gas station we stopped at. The restrooms were really gross we should have known better than to order food here. Granted you are not going to get great food at a travel plaza but this was really bad!! read more

Avoid this place at all cost. It's not clean. Even though it seemed fully staffed, the food was coming out at a snail's pace. We left before placing our order. I cannot even give it one star. Seriously stay away. read more

Sinclair should take note of on line reviews. This place used to be worth coming too. NOT ANYMORE! AS TO THE A&W Not happy, used to be a great place to eat. Took over 25 minutes to get our food. Not like I was packed with people in fact there was only four there at the time. Not the usual crowed. Our burgers were cold and cheese was not melted, there was so much lettuce I had to take it off just to find a tomato. There were flies everywhere. The root beer tasted weak weak. The whole atmosphere was run down and dirty. You can smell the restrooms before you got to it, toilet paper everywhere no paper towels hand dryer did not work. We were told they have new owners. What ever they are doing they should stop and listen to the locals who apperantley are not coming here anymore. Talked to several as we left who told us they donot eat here any more, they will not be returning. If you donot have the support of your local residents You will have no support, the same goes for the trucking community. THIS SINCLAIR HAS BEEN TAKEN OUT OF OUR FAVORITES WE WILL NOT BE RETURNING. I wish I could give negative stars because this place would definitely get a negative 3 read more

Food cold, place dingy, staff seems to take a lot of pleasure at screaming out the orders even though there were only four people in the restaurant. Won't be stopping here again. read more

Dirty. Long wait times. Unhelpful staff. Regularly run out of menu items. AVOID at all costs.

Dirty, took 20 minutes to get our food. My husband's burger had two top buns, mine had two bottoms. Enough said...

You'll wait 30 minuets to even place an order and when it comes out it will be wrong. The people working are dismissive and rude and can literally never get your order right. read more

If I could give 0 stars, I would! June 6, 2017: After waiting in line 10 minutes to place our order, my husband and I learned they were OUT OF ROOT BEER. An AC panel in the ceiling was dripping water into 2 buckets right where customers stand to place their orders. The Dr. Pepper came out of the soda dispenser like water. Iced tea dispenser was rimmed with scum. Ketchup dispenser clogged, so no ketchup for our fries. The floor was filthy. The ONE employer behind the register taking orders left to bag up garbage, leaving customers to wait until she returned. DO NOT stop here, no matter how much farther you must drive. read more

I was looking forward to a refreshing A&W float until I got inside. The restaurant is filthy with plenty of flies, dirty tables and the floor looks like it hasn't been swept in a couple days, much less mopped recently. The restroom next door was in the same condition but the toilet was clean. It was only slightly cooler inside than outside. The only good thing was the pleasant lady behind the counter. read more

We are from Casper Wyoming and we're traveling thru to Denver to see our Grandson in the children's Hospital. We stopped and got some gas and my wife says let's stop at this a&w. It was at 1000 when they opened up. We got the shrimp platter with onion rings and coleslaw and some cheese curds.I'm telling u it was amazing. The guy who took our order I believe was the owner or manager. He was great awesome customer service skills. We will be coming back for sure!!! It was Feb 14 2019 we were there. read more

Too bad there isn't a zero star rating! Super long wait time, all the orders were wrong, rude employees, and it was very dirty! We demanded our money back and left. We will never return. read more

We stopped in Wheatland on our way through to Denver. I was disappointed as they didn't have very many choices to choose from. We eat at the A&W in Rapid City all the time and their menu was way different. Anyway my family and I all ordered the mushroom burger. We all ended up throwing it away due to it having an overwhelming amount of pepper on it. I complained to the cashier and she said that is the way it's made. She never asked if we wanted a refund or if we would like something else. Also the root beer came out of a fountain pop machine like other fast food joints. That was the best part of going to an A&W was the"home made" root beer. The young gal that took our order had an attitude the size of the town we were in. Very disappointed. In the end we walked away $30 less and still hungry. read more

Really like the chicken. Folks there are friendly. The main drawback to this place is the fact that most times you have to call ahead to get the chicken, Seems as if there is none ready each time you walk in and want it. read more

All we ordered was 3 large root beers and 3 ice cream cones. the cashier got our order wrong and took 10 min to correct it, and it took another 15 minutes to get our sodas and ice cream. the ice cream was way to soft and the root beer was not draft and it tasted terrible. read more

One of the grosser experiences that I've had, and with a ridiculous wait. We waited nearly 15 minutes for sub-par fast food, along with a line of other similarly unhappy people. Our kids' meal was missing its toy, the staff were not friendly or at all apologetic, and--perhaps worst of all--only one of four employees I saw wore gloves, even while assembling sandwiches. The one person wearing gloves was handling coins for the register, which is a serious food safety problem. And there were flies everywhere. I normally love A&W but I would definitely avoid this place! read more

We stopped through yesterday and the place was dirty, understaffed, and was horribly inefficient. We ended up having to wait 12-15 min for our food and I was accidentally charged for a larger size of something I ordered and I didn't even catch it until after they handed me my food and I was given a bigger size. read more

This A&W gets a great review from an employee named Courtney, who let me get a delicious chocolate shake a couple of minutes after closing time. It was a great shake and the gesture totally made my night! I'm just passing through Wheatland and had a craving for a shake- thanks!! read more

My wife and I stopped in on Sunday to grab a quick bite. We went through the drive thru with one car in front of us. From the time we ordered till we got our food was 23 minutes and the food wasn't even Luke warm. I sent an email to their office and still haven't heard back from them. read more

Disgusting. Tons of flies inside. The tables and whole dining room are filthy. It takes forever to get your order and when you do you're already to grossed out to eat. read more

Worst experience I have EVER had in a restaurant. I watched the two older female managers scream at employees. Belittling them, insulting them right in front of me and a restaurant full of customers. No wonder they have new staff everytime we go in! The redhead girl at the counter kept her composure and smile despite the breating of the managers to her. She was friendly, but you could tell she was on the verge of tears! We waited over 20 minutes for our food. The gray haired female manager gave us our order, and it was completely wrong. When I said something to the manager about it being wrong, she again screamed at the employee! I in turn told the managers they needed to treat employees better and perhaps things would be done right in the restaurant! The manager actually told me to mind my own business! This restaurant DEFINITELY needs new management! The staff know what they are doing and would be able to do it if not for the horrible managers!!!! read more
