When his order was ready, I barely saw his sandwich because it was swimming in french fries. I went for a cheeseburger with the works. NO FRIES PLEASE! I have had my fair share of fries this week. They seem to be served with everything you order in Canada. (and coleslaw too) The cheeseburger was very good. Who knew that the works meant coleslaw, relish, mustard and onions, and that it really does taste great together . Easy ordering process and it is walk -up counter service.

I got the regular poutine with the authentic sauce (it tastes a bit sweeter than the normal gravy) and I thought it was good! The cheese was very fresh. It's quirky that they put the cheese at the bottom. A worthwhile tourist stop.

First they put a layer of curds on the bottom of the bowl (no where else did this from chain places to supposed old school restaurants) then the fresh hot fries then more curds (A LOT) on that then the gravy. The cheese curds squeaked when you ate them. It's set up like a Subway sandwich place, cafeteria tray style so nothing special inside but who cares with poutine this good? They people inside mostly spoke French but also could switch to English and were friendly. They had lots of tables and booths inside and at least 8 tables with umbrellas outside. This is just off the main route heading back to US border for us going home to CT. Will absolutely be our last Canadian stop now before crossing the border. They also have a cheese and gourmet shop attached and they were selling fresh corn in a kiosk in the parking lot (which you can't take back across unfortunately because it looked great). The cole slaw served is absent of any mayonnaise, just lightly soaked in vinegar. The BBQ chicken is good, but the club sandwiches (with chicken) are dry (ergo, dip it into the "sauce". For the Quebecois purest, they have the ever popular Poutine, which is a French Canadians favorite way to eat pomme du terre frittes, or French Fries, which is covered with gravy and curd cheese, and sometimes sprinkled with chicken.
