Everything from the signage and window displays to the shop upkeep is more or less perfect. Fortunately it has managed to successfully stand the test of time and is now as popular as ever. The flowers are not cheap, nor are they ridiculously overpriced. Instead you definitely get the quality and choice that you pay for. If only all the shops in Camberwell stuck to the same principals as Pesh, it could be one of the most in demand and popular areas of London.

If you go in with a budget the helpful staff will make you up a lovely posy for whatever price. I also bought a friend an orchid from there over 6 months ago and it's still thriving. It isn't the cheapest florists, and if you want cheap you can head to Somerfield, but Pesh offer a personal service with all the extras. They wrap the flowers delightfully and are happy to package them so they won't be damaged when traveling. They take cards and also handle phone deliveries. The shop is beautiful and sells potted plants as well as fresh; it smells absolutely gorgeous walking off Denmark Hill into Pesh, which is probably the reason I find myself drifting in there so regularly. The shop, although small, is jammed full of loads of flower varieties and the bouquets on display are always a delight to look at! You also can't beet the location, if you're a commuter like me being able to walk from the train straight into the flourish is extremely handy. Total rip off, for flowers that die within days…read more Better off going to the supermarket. I always try and support local businesses. First bunch cost over £30, I thought it was a bit steep for what it was, but went with it. There were two types of flower, one type dead in three days, and the lilies never opened and just drooped. The second bunch was £17:50, for 3 sprigs of lily and chrysanthemums, which was waaaay over priced. Again, went with it. I also bought a poinsettia for £6.50 which the exact same from the supermarket same wrapping and everything was £3. Anyway, the lilies within 2 days dropped and didn't open, AGAIN, and the chrysanthemums even died. Yup, the type of flower that lasts an age died. This time we decided to take said bunch back as it was just jokes that two bunches were dying in days and they're quite expensive. The florist was soooooo rude. He binned the chrysanthemums and the dead lilies stems. He stated that we hadn't put them in water, the stems were still dripping wet as we just took them out of the vase, said we hadn't put them in water, (don't be rediculous!), and that we hadn't cut the stems, which again, it was clear we had as the height of them! He then re-cut the stems and re-wrapped the flowers and gave us a sprig if chrysanthemum. Is he having a laugh. Nearly £50 on two bunches on different days and they were both rubbish. NEVER going back there.

Asking for help before, i was given the impression that they were too lazy to show signs of interest. Also not forgetting the time, where i passed the shop one time to glance at some of the flowers only to recieve a suspicious look from the florist as if i was comitting a crime. However, last year i did ask for a work placement and the change of new staff were nice. In terms of flower selection i have to be honest that there isnt much range.

I bought a peace lilly there that she recommended when I was looking for something green for my house. It cost 5 GBP and she threw in a lovely pot/holder for free. One of the nices things about the shop is Lisa, the owner. She's truly a lovely lady who knows her plants.

Very simply a wonderful addition to Brixton town…read more Perfectly placed just outside Brixton Underground station, a great spot for those of us who are perhaps not as forward thinking, or well prepared as I'm sure most of you out there are, ahem! Also on the other hand well placed for picking up the perfect bouquet before starting your commute to the in-laws, or heading off to Sunday lunch at Ma and Pa's. A family run stall; two brothers and their father, which makes it all that more special and me personally, I have no objections giving my custom to a hard working family and supporting local trade.
