I want to commend this driving school and Mr. Andrew specifically. My behind the wheels training were all worth the time and money. Mr. Andrew really mastered his craft in the way he teaches, he is very nice and his instructions to me were concise and timely. It helped a lot that he is very calm, and being a new driver I am where everything beyond the wheels are overwhelming, I feel safe that he made me feel that he can see, control and maneuver everything even from the passenger seat. (YES he drives from the passenger seat at times just to show me how to do what, this guy is a car, in human form. No, he is amazing.) I tell you he knows every road, every hand steering you do, every direction he said since the 1st minute. You can't hide. He really knows what he's doing. When I get nervous he knows how to make me talk and be comfortable and it really makes the difference in my driving. I was immersed from different scenarios bec. Mr. Andrew is well aware of whats around us and makes real life references from the cars or traffic lights ahead of us ('do you see what that car did?'); not just give instructions but also give advices and concrete action steps on what to do when. Driving is a life skill; which makes it important - and Mr. Andrew here makes that daunting task sound easy and is very encouraging every time. He is polite and he'll tell you sincerely when you're ready to do the road test. I have found a master. In fact during a dinner & a topic of taking road tests, one of my aunt referred Mr. Andrew as the driving trainer for almost everyone here in Orangeburg and that I should enroll in his class, (I haven't told them that I was currently enrolled at the time) and from that, I perceived that A&R driver training school is really reliable. I realized a lesson: as long as we listen, follow instructions, really wanted to learn and keep focused, we can ace this driving and we can achieve any goals. Best training school I ever attended! They are very helpful and teaches you everything that you need to know when it comes to driving. I recommend to take the full course because it includes everything you need to get your license or permit. The class rooms are similar to the sizes of high-school rooms which is great when it comes to you asking questions and getting a better understanding of things. Wanted to charge more for additional classes after my son was done with the course. $100 more per class for a total of 4 more classes and another $400. This came up after the last class was completed. Very questionable business practice. I would not recommend this company to anyone. read more

I'm very aggravated with this place. I used them with one of my sons and had an awesome experience. This go round has not been so good. My son has been working on getting his license for about two months now; but the only person allowed to give the actual test Mr Andrew is never around. First it was vacation, next it was a training session and now it's a family emergency. I understand that stuff happens but if you are running a business you need to have contingency plans in action. My son has tried on numerous occasions to get up with Andrew but his calls were never returned. I reached out and got I was going to try to call you. Set date for today at 2 got a text. Not a call but a text telling me of the emergency and he won't be back until around the 23rd. Truly shoddy service this time. Save yourself the aggravation just go somewhere else. read more
