DO NOT use Broadway Textiles…read more I stopped by there one day a few weeks ago and asked the gentleman working there if they cut foam cushions for people as I usually drive all the way to Hamilton to get mine done. There are two excellent places up there but it is a bit of a drive. I was delighted when he assured me that he cut foam pieces for people all the time. I took in two pattern pieces last week to be cut so I could make some cushions for my daughter's rocking chairs. He took the measurements, gave me a price and said he would have them ready for the following day. My Dad picked them up for me but to my disappointment the quality of the cutting is atrocious. The corners are all chopped up and uneven. There is only a single layer of fabric that will cover these pieces so you will see the shape of the underlying foam quite clearly. I took them back today to ask him to redo them or refund my $80 and he flipped out and told me that he did the cutting for free since I purchased the foam from him and that 'it is written on his paper that he can't guarantee the quality of the cutting since he doesn't have the proper equipment to do the work'. I was surprised to hear that since he had made no mention of any issues or warned me that I would 'get what I get' if I used him. When I asked him what paper he was referring to he walked eight feet away behind the service desk and pointed out a line at the bottom of a laminated sheet hanging behind the cash register. The page was about 7x9" and was printed in type that could not have been more than 3/16" high (about the same type face as this post). The 7x9 sheet had about 35 lines of print and was surrounded on the board by dozens of other notices and advertisements. This was apparently to serve as my warning that if I used him to make the cushions I could not expect professional results. At no time during our discussion about what I was looking for did he ever mention any issues that would suggest he could not do the work properly but based on the fact that he has this tiny little line on the page behind the cash he must not ever expect to do quality work. Don't waste your money make the drive to Hamilton to the Foam land on Ottawa st or there is another place just past the Ikea I believe it's called the Foam Centre.

I called and they indicated availability in 2 days. Stupidly I assumed the cost would be roughly equivalent. When I called to pick up the part it cost $66 - about the cost of an oem BMW part and over 2-3 times the cost of an equivalent part ordered online. Lesson learned.

Since dealers usually upcharge for this stuff I searched online for deals on new tires and Casullo's came up. I took my car in and asked them to look at the brakes as well. Alex called back and said, "I'd love to sell you new brakes, but these are fine. Come back in six months and we'll check them again." He then installed the new tires. Six months later I called to have them check the brakes again. Alex said EXACTLY the same thing. "Bring it back in six months." Half a year later he says, "Yeah, your back brakes should be swapped out, but your front is fine for now. Bring it back in another six months." Finally this September (during inspection) Alex replaced the front brakes, and installed new windshield wipers. He didn't try to upsell me on every component in my car. Well, today (December 2025) one of my windshield wipers fell off when I was scraping the windshield. I've installed them before: any new blades for the past ten years or more are a major pain in the butt to install - - bad design, counterintuitive - - you have to spend at least a half hour on YouTube to figure it out, and I didn't have any inclination to go through it again. Without a lot of hope on the walk-in front, I drove straight to Casullo's, explained the situation, and Alex came right out, drove it into the garage and re-installed the offending blade. He even topped off my tire, which was low!!! You don't find this kind of honesty and attention to customer service much any more. Casullo's is my garage from now on!
