The campground has beachfront access to a closed cove that has excellent fishing, crabbing, and abalone (restrictions permitting). The pictures say it all- this is a gorgeous spot. Beautifully maintained campground with clean nice bathrooms and showers. The town is a short, less than one minute walk away, where you can go to replenish supplies without having to take the car. Our experience with the staff has always been very positive. Tessa does a great job running the camp- making sure the campers have everything they need and regulating who comes in and out of the camp- I have noticed there is some negative feedback about this- but think about it...it is PRIVATE property and she is in charge and responsible for what goes on in this space...that is a HUGE responsibility...regulation also makes sure our campsites are safe from loitering, theft, crowded beach, poaching, etc. Personally we appreciate their dedication to protecting the space, and Tessa + crew have been nothing but kind, inviting, and helpful to us. This campground is a second home to us and we will continue to come every year and bring more friends to experience the beauty of this place - the standard rule applies- give respect and get respect. We arrived at a beautifully set up glamping experience with the airstream fully furnished mindfully with eco friendly items and just what we would need for our trip. Outside we also got to enjoy a relaxing sitting area with jute rug and fire pit. Upon departure we left everything as we found it and Jaime and Kevin picked up the airstream as easily as they delivered it. Would highly recommend for a family camping trip, couples getaway, or even a solo retreat in the woods. Will definitely book with them again!

I was a little apprehensive about how it would be to live onboard and drive such a big vehicle but Conrad and Derek armed us with all the information we needed and the Free Spirit was surprisingly easy to drive. We loved it and so did our dog, who we really appreciated being able to bring with us. The RV has everything you need already on board so we traveled light and didnt feel like we missed anything. I esp love this model because it has a screen door, so we were able to sleep with it open every night but not be attacked by mosquitos. This is our second time renting from Jeff and he is top notch. Unlike some other people who posted…read morethat he "nickel and dimes" you, I like his efficient pricing structure -- a low daily rate for the unit and you pay for what you use. Sure there is a little fine print to read, but in our experience renting two RV's and driving over 2500 miles each full of 4 kids we had no issues and no surprises. My wife and I spent about an hour and half giving them a good cleaning and had no fees and no issues. Jeff was available on weekends via text to answer / troubleshoot questions, which was great as a rookie and again on our sophomore voyage. Our only constructive feedback would be: 1. A bit of a tech upgrade to his site, payment process and reservation process. He is easy to do business with, but it would be super if he could go fully digital per another reviewer's comment. 2. Allowing for a concierge turn-in fee up front (like when you rent a condo in Tahoe) of $150 bucks or something. If you had the option and could choose up front I bet it would avoid the worst surprise (you think you cleaned it and get dinged). 3. Scheduling time for a turn-in walk through - it could avoid he-said-she-said issues and honestly it is a little stressful waiting for the call / email that you don't have any fees.

He walked me through all of the functions, gave solid pointers and made himself available throughout the 2 night trip. I had to contact him a number of times the first night and he gracefully answered my questions without making me feel like a dummy. It turned out exactly as we had planned and actually a little better than what we had hoped for. We knew it would be good based on other vans seen at the shop and what we had discussed in the planning phase but the attention to detail was over the top. Over the months of waiting/building, Scenic shared a Dropbox where they would load pictures as the build was being done. It was fun to see all the steps of our van being built and it helped us to know where we were in the timeline of the build. On pick up day, Emily took the time needed to walk us through the van to make sure we were comfortable with every part. Even with all of that, Scenic still sent us away with a folder of papers and an owners manual they had put together with the features of our specific van build and how to use each component. I'm convinced, there isn't another company that puts this much love and care into the customer and end product. Kevin, Emily and every team member we interacted with are specialist with a ton of experience as well as the desire to continue to grow and get better. it is obvious that the company strives for excellence and it shows in the end product. They went out of their way to explain any changes that needed to be made along the way and always made sure we didn't incur any extra cost because of a necessary change. We took the van out for the first time last weekend. Just an overnighter where we pulled out all the manuals to make sure everything worked and we understood the system. It couldn't have been any smoother. Everything worked perfectly, just as described. We couldn't be any happier with how the whole process went from start (open house tour) to finish!

Less Than Positives: - The camper had less than 1/2 a tank when I picked it up. -They almost rented me the wrong sized camper, which I caught when I asked about the bed size. The paperwork, which I had filled out on-line and they had a copy of, stated the correct size. -The windows were dirty - tough to see well out of dirty. They cleaned them on the spot. -The customer service person started taking care of another customer before we were done. - We checked the generator for 1 minute to see what it did and if/how it worked. It registered for 0.1 of an hour. In all likelihood, it was on the verge of clicking over and went up 0.1 when we turned it on. We were charged for a full hour. It was a $3.50, which is peanuts compared to the whole rental, but if felt nickel-and-dime like. I would rent from the Santa Rosa place again. Be actively aware of all the details as you do.

They COVID protocols were pretty minimal. The workers were wearing masks, but not always on properly often not covering nose. Customers were apparently not required to wear a mask as their were two in the office not wearing any covering. It's a small office so I waited outside until it was my turn. They said that the rv was disinfected before we picked it up but it was clearly not very thorough as I did a full wipe down before loading up and found many areas that had clearly not been touched because they were covered in dust or crumbs or bugs (depending on the surface). But the price was very good and I was willing to take the extra time to clean to proper standards. But something to be aware of.
