There was no professional greeting, no introduction of the business, and no indication that I had reached a bonding company. That should have been my first sign that something was off. I proceeded to ask if I had reached AA Bonding, and he replied, "Yeah, what do you need?" I provided my colleague's name and explained that I was calling on their behalf. He then asked, "What do you mean?" When I told him I didn't understand the question, he began asking how I knew the individual and how long I had known them. I explained that we had been colleagues for about two years. He then responded by saying, "So they work with you. They're your coworker." His tone came across as condescending and felt insulting to my intelligence. At that point, I politely thanked him for his time and told him to disregard my inquiry. Instead of ending the conversation professionally, he became rude and abruptly stated that I would be putting my house up for the bond. That was the final straw. The entire interaction was unprofessional, disrespectful, and completely unacceptable. Customer service matters, especially in situations that can already be stressful. I would strongly recommend spending your money elsewhere.
