They replaced the sidewalk and driveway and all looked great......except for the sidewalk immediately in front of the entrance. Where before, the old sidewalk was dramatically sloping towards the house, it was now dramatically sloping away from the house! I made it clear that I was not happy with that but the owner had moved on to his next job and I was just a distant memory. Communication after the job was all but impossible. I did get a voicemail from the owner but repeated efforts to actually discuss, "mono a mono," failed. So much for any warranty promises. It's a shame because the work was good otherwise. Why ruin it with an unsightly slope when a gentle imperceptible slope would have sufficed? My second mistake was paying the invoice before we resolved the issue (Never again). I would not recommend Jack Hammer Concrete.

I contracted stands paving to do my driveway with millings. I work construction many years so after…read morework I grab the shovel and was helping Stan's crew out. Coming down my driveway the thickness of the millings wasn't enough the sealer wasn't enough the first rain washed it out I called Stan and send him pictures and he says he'll smooth it out and just pack it down again how do you pack down a quarter inch with hardly any sealer on it.

I hired him on the spot. We had a great rapport. He's an honest, hard working guy who just wants to deliver quality service for a fair price. He and his co-worker showed up on time, prepared for the job and delivered on his promise. He isn't some fly by night guy that shows up on your street with a Dump Truck leaking every possible fluid that needs a Hazmat Team to come clean up like most guys do. No raggedy equipment, no stains on the street and no beer cans in the bushes. They came in professionally dressed, they were quiet and they cleaned up once they were done. I live in a development where the Home Owner's Association feel they have the power of a Congressional Committee so the small things count. I highly recommend York Asphalt & Sealcoat for your driveway and paving needs.

These people were incompetent from the minute they showed up- smashed up the pavement at the entrance to our driveway (which was not supposed to be replaced) with their equipment and all the concrete they poured for the driveway and pergola showed air holes immediately after they finished (this was with the son directing a crew). After several calls or texts from my wife and a threat to go to the MDJ if they didn't return immediately to fix the work (son claimed they couldn't get back for a couple months), the father showed up within a few days to re-pour everything. Within the first year the surface of the driveway started to peel and expose gravel underneath, now at least half if not most of the driveway is just exposed gravel. We're now finally looking at filing suit, I think we're just within the SOL, although kinda doubtful they're still around or have any money to collect. We paid $10,000 for this, I would highly recommend you NEVER do business with them.
