I am usually in search of new beer to try and they change it up enough where I'll find quite a few new ones to try every time I go in. All the good Oklahoma stuff, Prairie, Coop, Anthem, Roughtail, Marshal, etc. They do free tasting events as well, I believe it is 2 times throughout the year, and you can sign up at the checkout counter. The best thing about the place though is the customer service. It feels like the place is run by a family that is happy to see you every time you come in.

This is a cute winery. It's in an old, historic church and has the original windows, floors, and…read morewalls. April is the new owner and just bought it. Sure hoping to get the carpet pulled up and fix the floors which definitely sag. I tried three of the wines. I bought a glass of the MallowDramatic, which is a sweet moscato (no bubbles) that tastes like marshmallows. As hot as it is (and yes, even inside it was hot) a sweet wine was so apropos. I really liked the "Accents" which is a Cynthiana grapes, which are usually used for a rich full-bodied wine (and is predominantly from the Ozark region) such as a Cabernet, but in this case I wouldn't say it was a Cabernet, but it is a full-bodied and expressively earthy wine with notes of tobacco and tart cherries. The description says oak, but that's not what I was tasting. I am drinking a glass now at home on my couch (yes I bought a bottle) and I once again tasted it to describe. It definitely paired well with a sweet chocolate treat. All their wines are $24.00.

We tasted 8-10 different types, and the individual serving us was quite knowledgeable of the styles, helped us match our tastes, and really made it an experience. The Moscato was by far our favorite, and had a beautiful flavor. They also explained how it is made, sourced, and even told us about their upcoming location change. We are excited to go try their new place at Monkey Island when it comes available.

My wife has been in retail for decades and one of her rules was if you say you are going to be…read moreopen, be open. That customer service-centric attitude allowed her to grow a dedicated customer base, and her business grew. I would think for a small local business, this would be essential as building customer loyalty is essential to your success. If, however, your posted times say open until 6, and you close before that time, and I am at your store ready to buy something, I will give you a bad review every time. I don't care if you're the greatest store ever, if your posted hours say you are open, you should be there. I checked times, and made it to the store with 7 minutes to spare. Sign said closed, employee inside said "we're closed" even when I pointed to my watch showing I had time left, and went back to vacuuming. I could have picked up the one item I wanted to buy while they vacuumed....but no. They could have made a loyal customer for life, instead I won't be back for awhile, and in fact, I'd be justified to take my business elsewhere....shouldn't be a big deal as they apparently don't need my business anyways. I hate to give a business a review like this, because as a concept this is a great store and they have unique and fun items. However, as a customer, I can't buy it if you close early. As a small business, that's your right to close when you want. As a consumer, it's my prerogative to shop elsewhere, and to share my negative experiences.
