I walked in, and everyone was just so helpful. They didn't have my size in either shoe that worked for me, but ordered the right size in both, and didn't ask me to purchase in advance or anything. They called me when they got info on when the shoes would arrive, and updated me when a big storm threw a monkey wrench into the expected arrival date. They really know their stuff, and the staff are super helpful and cheery and good-humored. I walk a lot, and want a good shoe that supports me in all that walking, and I'll be coming back here to buy those shoes when the pair I just bought from them wear out. This was going to mark the fourth time I had visited Indian Rock Tactical. The previous times the…read moreexperience had been a mixed bag. My first visit was the day before they first opened--I had no idea the store wasn't yet open but the door was open, so I went in. I was immediately and rudely told that they weren't open until tomorrow. I fully understand a business getting ready to open its doors for the first time and not wanting customers milling about yet, but no need to be obnoxious. That was a portent of things to come. On my 2nd and 3rd visits, both times the staff was dismissive. Not rude, they just didn't give a damn about customers, myself included. Both of these times, some friend of the store or an employee had come in and the remaining employees gathered around to hear the latest tales, everyone else became irrelevant. I actually like the shop but the customer support leaves much to be desired. Then there was today. I pulled up at 9:40, pleased to see their large folding OPEN sign out on the street. As I went to the door, an employee was going in. He said that the store doesn't open until 10:00. I inquired about the big open sign at the street and just rudely repeated that the store doesn't open until 10:00-- no apology, no explanation, no interest in customer support. Now I was not expecting to be given early access to the store but seriously, how about a slight bit of contrition for the screw up? How about "Hey, I am really sorry about that. Let me get the lights on and the store ready and I will be open shortly." Is that really to much to all? With IR Tactical it repeatedly seems so. I suppose that is my major beef with IR Tactical. They just seem utterly indifferent to their customers. I tend to buy a lot of prep stuff and like getting to know who I do business with because relationships are important to me. Sadly, not for IR Tactical. I will take my hard earned money to a supplier that cares about my business. I like to support local B&M stores, even paying a bit more to keep them going. But, as for this place, I won't be back.

I went in last week looking for a shirt for my husband to be told that "True Grit" no longer made this shirt and was directed to another shirt which I bought. I did ask if I could return and was told yes. I later looked up True Grit and found that they indeed still made the shirt and I was able to order which I did. When I went to return the shirt I had purchased, I was told that their system did not allow them to put the amount back on my card and I would have to take a store credit. This is not told to me when I asked is I could return and it is nowhere on the receipt that this is their practice. Now I have $300 on a charge card for a $150 shirt. If this is what there policy is, they need to tell you upfront or at the list print on the receipt. They could have offered a cash return knowing I was upset or at least get a new system that will allow them to credit your credit card.
