After a few false starts we knew the heater needed replacement. Aqualine had the job done in hours. They arrived on time. No surprises in costs and called to follow up a few weeks later. We requested that a technician come out last month to take a look at our care home's. They…read moreapparently "fixed it" last month only for the dryer to break a day later. The staff found a way to work around it however it officially gave out yesterday. I called in All Home Appliance Repair this morning and a person named Rey came at around 12:30pm. Around 2 hours later, Rey calls me and say the job has been done. I was a bit confused because I didn't get a call about any estimate of the repairs, time it takes to repair, if they were going to get new parts like other repair, etc. like other normal repair companies. I didn't think much of it and just waited for the invoice. I was surprised to see that the invoice was $388! This on top of the other repairs, we could've justified getting a brand new washer. We called the front desk lady and she said "oh you asked for us to come to repair not an estimate" which I thought was a pretty disastrous response considering I think the customer should have the right to authorize repairs before the contractor actually does it? I think it's ridiculous that we weren't notified and adding insult to injury were charged a ridiculous price... after we got the problem fixed a month ago.

Recently I had him out to give me a quote to reroute a couple of water lines in my downstairs bathroom. The drywall was already taken out. All he had to do was move 2 pipes. I expected the charge to be $500 or so. He quoted me $1,400!!! I was shocked. I looked on Next Door for recommendations and found another guy that did the work for $425. I hate to give a bad review as he is a nice guy. But sure seems like he was price gouging me on this last job. I won't be going back to him anymore.
