Jenn was responsive and helpful. She would follow up with us on the more important requests send through the renters' portal to make sure that maintenance was taken care of. Brian was also super easy to work with the few times we were in touch about lease questions and such. Renting from big property management companies can be such an awful experience, so we especially appreciated working with both of them. Also! We just got our deposit back, and they included itemized receipts with it. That's key as a renter, since there will inevitably be something to quibble about with the deposit.

She was so flexible and incredibly patient with a client (me) that couldn't make up their mind what they really wanted. This advice included highly insightful information about the current (and changing) Boulder real estate market; potential best timing for listing the property in light of market conditions as well as historical seasonal supply and demand considerations; viewing comps and visiting similar properties to assist in setting a reasonable asking price; and touring our property with us and ultimately providing a list of suggested improvements that could be made to improve salability and maximize price (the list also included prioritization and discussion of cost-benefit of each improvement). Angela recommended her husband's company, Mendly, to oversee and manage the improvements that included major updates to the kitchen, fixing all kinds of little (and not so little!) problems that had been neglected over the years, and fresh coats of paint throughout the house. Mendly (and Ben Moss) deserve their own superlative review, but suffice it to say here, if Mendly is available to do needed work for you, don't even think twice about it! They are awesome. Angela also recommended a professional stager to help prepare the home for showing. Although we were somewhat dubious, we trusted her advice, and were so glad we did. The stager used a mix of our furnishings and furnishings they brought in to turn our home into something we wished we had done years before--it looked and felt so comfortable and inviting. Once everything was ready to show, Angela brought in a professional photographer, and worked with the expert 8Z team to prepare the marketing brochure and listing documents. In sum, Angela worked with us on developing a thoughtful strategy for approaching the sale of our home, and then executed that strategy exquisitely. In our case, we opened the home for viewings on a Thursday, and Angela accepted offers by 5pm that Sunday. We received a number of bids--all over the asking price--after which Angela then expertly navigated the negotiation process to get us to a final, accepted offer followed by the closing. Very unethical and unprofessional!!!…read more Brad specializes in Rock Creek - local advertising, pumpkins at Halloween, etc, so when my husband and I decided to sell our home, we contacted Brad to interview him and gather information. He told us a story about how when he first moved to the area, he and his wife looked at our house to buy and how much he really liked our house. He also mentioned contacts he has in the industry to help us with the sale. He specifically mentioned staging our house and that he had someone who could help us but given that we have children, doubted that she would want her furniture in our home. I was put off that he would make a negative comment about our children during the first meeting but brushed it off. We decided to choose a flat fee Realtor service who was recommended to us by one of our neighbors instead of the local Realtors that we interviewed. Brad made an appointment to show our home on the Sunday morning after Thanksgiving at 9am. At 9:15am, Brad canceled the showing. He rescheduled the showing for Monday at noon. We made sure the house was show ready - anybody who has sold a home knows what that means -- spotless, window shades opened, beds made, floors vacuumed and mopped, etc. My husband decided to lower the price for the showing and I thought it would be cute to leave it on the counter with a reindeer picture that my daughter created. This is the comment that Brad Klein left regarding our house, "Having the children of the house announce the price reduction on construction paper is just what it looks like, add to that the second rate commission and you have a true Mickey Mouse operation. Good luck with the sale." I found the comment neither constructive nor professional. Another friend of mine who lives in Rock Creek had a similar experience with Brad Klein. Buyers & Sellers of Rock Creek - BEWARE OF ENGAGING BRAD KLEIN UNLESS YOU ARE 100% POSITIVE THAT YOU ARE GOING TO USE HIM DURING THE BUY/SELL PROCESS.
