For an airport coffee spot, this place was a pleasant surprise. Prices were decent considering the usual airport markup. I grabbed a muffin that was really good, I'd definitely get it again if I'm ever back in that terminal. Make sure to ask to get your baked goods heated up, it makes a big difference! I also had an egg muffin, which was fine, nothing special but did the job. Service was quick and efficient, and the food came out relatively fast. Fine fast spot to catch a bite between flights.

This 8th & Roast is a great addition to Concourse D, sitting right across from gate D1. It's convenient on the way in our out of BNA. I used to find myself fighting the traffic in Concourse C to enjoy 8th & Roast, but now I can enjoy a good cold brew in the slower paced Concourse D! Space is good sized, clean, well lit and well kept. It flows well from order to pickup. My go to at 8th & Roast is the cold brew with almond milk and SF syrup, usually mocha. This location had limited SF options, so I went with vanilla, and it was still tasty. Service was welcoming, friendly and expedient. Overall, love this location in D. Certainly will be my go to coffee spot at BNA!

Big selection of baked goods which is a positive. However, server was rude and coffee was not that great. A big pass for me next time on this location. Please come and create your own adventure.

Hot Mocha was good and hot
Joe S.

On an ugly rainy day at BNA, I needed a coffee to get through the day. 8th and Roast fit the bill as the line was short. I ordered a large hot mocha and it wasn't a Starbucks large, but was hot (almost too hot) and good. Wasn't the best mocha ever but it did the job. This may have been the only coffee option in the D Terminal. Although based on reviews, this "chain" may be scattered throughout the Nashville Airport. I'd assume the coffee is the same at each one though... or it depends on the barista.

Iced vanilla latte

Excellent coffee, can't speak to the food. Iced vanilla latte was delish. Friendly service. Great pick me up for a long layover.

The food was not bad, but it was pricey and I will say it tasted better than it looked. I think we paid around $7 for this. I got the cold brew and it was ok, but I did feel like it was watered down so I didn't love the taste. There were other items like sandwiches, bottled drinks, and pastry items. However, the guy taking orders and doing bakery/heating up food was super nice. The service was quick so that's a plus.

Sausage egg and cheese on croissant for almost $8 - sad

Did not like the server scratching down there before he took my order and made my food. Gross. Paid almost $8 for a sad looking sausage and egg sandwich on croissant.

Blueberry bagel

Quick spot at the airport in concourse D. They offered light and dark roast for drip coffee and I got the dark roast coffee but it tasted like water and I was surprised because this was supposed to be the darker taste. I should've known because now I see other reviews say it's watery and did not taste like anything. I got the blueberry bagel and they were kind enough to toast it for me and I put cream cheese on it. The staff was nice, but the food and drinks are a pass.

Line moved pretty quickly. Ordered a sausage, egg, & cheese breakfast sandwich- upgraded to a bagel instead of croissant. Very good; cooked perfectly. Also ordered a cold brew with vanilla- the coffee was just okay as I felt like I could taste the syrup-y taste of the vanilla. Overall, not bad for airport breakfast on the go

Good latte. Smooth roast. Not overly sweet. That's all I'm looking for in a coffee, and I found it here!

I grabbed a vanilla latte and it was REALLY good. Service left a little to be desired, but the product spoke for itself- so good!

So, it is time to spill the beans on Green Beans Coffee. That is, that excluding a Starbucks kiosk in the Hilton across the pedestrian bridge, it is the only coffee shop and possibly business beyond Security. When my brother and I arrived at BNA baggage claim on June 23, 2025; it was an hour before my Dad would arrive. I had been flying for hours and wanted to perk up with coffee. The first thing we did was ride the elevator to the pedestrian bridge and into the Hilton. The Starbucks kiosk appeared to be closed. So, we started off our Nashville vacation with Green Beans Coffee, a name that has been serving the city since 1997. This coffee shop has more of an airport vibe than a cozy coffee shop. However, it has a Nashville twist two it. At the corner of the coffee shop is a stage. Country Musicians perform there. I had just missed The Brian Ashley Trio. Although I could've ordered the coffee from a QR code on the table, and they would of brought it to my table; I chose to order at the counter. The friendly barista exchanged $4.12 for the medium coffee. That leads to the point that Green Beans did have more of a laid back environment in comparison to the businesses inside the airport. As I started up my Nashville vacation, I thought that this is solid coffee. And reasonably priced coffee for a business that lacks competition beyond Security in a major airport. Although the environment was more of an airport vibe, the spaciousness and seating offerings made it a pleasant place to wait for my Dad's plane to arrive. It is a short walk to baggage claim. Additionally the Wi-Fi was strong. As I conclude my leading review of my 2025 Nashville Tennessee serious, I am giving Green Beans Coffee. It was a good spot to perk up on the start of the Nashville vacation.

It's in Donelson, and they truly check every box. Quick drive-thru, great prices, friendly staff, and tons of organic options. Their food menu is just as impressive as their drink menu. Sandwiches, all-day breakfast, salads, and even Aussie pies. I could keep going. I ordered one of their SmartFruit smoothies and went with the Tropical Harmony + Aloe (papaya, guava, passion fruit, pineapple, and aloe vera.) All I can say is WOW. Hands down the best smoothie I've had in Nashville, and it was only $5. I'll definitely be back soon to try their coffee and food. I took a quick peek the holiday menu, and I already have my eye on "The Grinch." Such a great spot all around!!

I said it was my first time trying their food, and she still just looked at me (I noticed after she was waiting to be done with my order to go talk to her boyfriend, so maybe that was why.) I got their iced matcha, and "my favorite" sandwich with a side of tomatoes. The matcha was good but way too sweet for a classic matcha. The sandwich and tomatoes were also good, but a bit pricy for what you got. I went back up to grab a water, and the other baristas were much nicer.

The interior decor is beautiful and creates a really nice atmosphere, and the staff were friendly and welcoming. Unfortunately, something I saw really changed my impression. While waiting, I had a clear view into the back where food was being prepared, and I saw a staff member sitting on a stool handling ingredients with bare hands and no gloves. Watching that made me uncomfortable and raised concerns for me about food safety practices. It's frustrating because the food itself is truly great and the service was kind. I'm leaving this review in hopes that management sees it and addresses the issue, because with stronger food-handling standards this place could easily be a 5-star restaurant. If this is corrected, I would absolutely be happy to update my review.

The desserts in the case looked great too. I tried the beef sambusa, it was okay - it was warm and crispy but the flavor was pretty basic... the sauces available on the counter helped. I would be willing to try one of their specialty sambusas, maybe those are better. I also tried the brown sugar chai and it was really great. Yes on the sweeter side but I think the brown sugar complemented the chai really well. It was piping hot and the cup was very full like to the rim, so you get a lot for your buck. I'll come back, but hopefully someone else is taking my order next time - please stop hiring 20 year olds who just stare at you when you walk inside and greet them hello, really kills the vibe especially on your first time visiting lol. Three stars for now.

Even with that, we still had a good experience. There was a little mix-up with our food a few people who ordered after us got their meals first, and the table next to us accidentally received our order, so we ended up waiting a bit longer. It was definitely frustrating at the moment, but once our food came out, it made up for it. We had the shrimp and grits along with the steak, eggs, and hashbrowns, and everything was delicious. The sweet cream cold brew was really good, and even though the orange juice was a little small, it still tasted fresh. The atmosphere was nice, and I also liked that they had outdoor seating. Overall, despite the small hiccup, I'd still come back and recommend this spot.
