Ordered a simple black iced coffee and the cashier couldn't understand me, kept pushing other options, and eventually I gave up. For an airport coffee spot, this place was a pleasant surprise. Prices were decent considering the usual airport markup. I grabbed a muffin that was really good, I'd definitely get it again if I'm ever back in that terminal. Make sure to ask to get your baked goods heated up, it makes a big difference! This 8th & Roast is a great addition to Concourse D, sitting right across from gate D1. It's convenient on the way in our out of BNA. I used to find myself fighting the traffic in Concourse C to enjoy 8th & Roast, but now I can enjoy a good cold brew in the slower paced Concourse D! Space is good sized, clean, well lit and well kept. It flows well from order to pickup. My go to at 8th & Roast is the cold brew with almond milk and SF syrup, usually mocha. This location had limited SF options, so I went with vanilla, and it was still tasty. Service was welcoming, friendly and expedient. Overall, love this location in D. Certainly will be my go to coffee spot at BNA! read more

On an ugly rainy day at BNA, I needed a coffee to get through the day. 8th and Roast fit the bill as the line was short. I ordered a large hot mocha and it wasn't a Starbucks large, but was hot (almost too hot) and good. Wasn't the best mocha ever but it did the job. This may have been the only coffee option in the D Terminal. Although based on reviews, this "chain" may be scattered throughout the Nashville Airport. I'd assume the coffee is the same at each one though... or it depends on the barista. read more

They offered light and dark roast for drip coffee and I got the dark roast coffee but it tasted like water and I was surprised because this was supposed to be the darker taste. Coffee spot right at the beginning of Concorde D in the airport. Not much to say but a typical airport coffee shop. They do have a few seats with outlets to charge your electronic device. They sell muffins and have the basics. I wasn't expecting much because their equipment is not good but made for automation. I had a latte and it was more like a cappuccino. So first off, $8.00 for a Latte, ok, it's an airport location. But they say they have "expresso" but 10 seconds after I gave my order I had my drink. They can't/won't put sugar in your drink which I prefer so that it blends in when the hot coffee hits it. Instead I have to put it in afterwards and it sits on the latte form. The drink tasted like a dark roast coffee not expresso. They say that they are in the expresso business, charge like it but that's the only resemblance to expresso. read more

This app forces you to put a star, otherwise I wouldn't have given a star at all. During a layover at Nashville airport, my wife ordered me a hot Vanilla latte with 2 shots of espresso. They started making a cold version but my wife corrected them. The employees said she ordered a cold one but they didn't realize that I was on the phone listening. They spoke in a different language and had a little bit of an attitude. My wife brought me the coffee and it was as hot as room temperature. I took a sip and knew that by the time I get halfway it would be cold. I took the coffee back and asked for a microwave. One of the employees stared at me and asked if I wanted a coffee. I explained that my wife just bought it and it's not hot at all. They spoke in a different language and the gentleman working there pointed for me to walk to the side where he made me a fresh cup. Neither my husband or I liked it. The Cinnamon twists looked so good behind the glass that I was about to buy one. However, the person ahead of me bought one and I watched her bite down and frown. Wanted to grab some coffee near my gate at the Nashville Airport. I'm not particularly picky with coffee, but I like cortados and there was no hint of sweetness which was good. Meh experience, this is your typical airport coffee shop. I stopped here after dealing with TSA mid morning to catch a flight back home. This was the first coffee shop I came to. Due to current exorbitant prices in this country and rampant inflation I stuck with just a medium coffee and no food. They do offer a variety of typical coffee house food. The lady at the register wasn't friendly or rude, didn't smile, greet me or look at me. I received my drip coffee in short order since there was really nothing to prepare. The cream and sugar area had two metal carafes. I deduced one was cream since it was not labeled and the other was labeled milk. I kindly asked the emotionless barista to refill the cream decanter. He also didn't look at me, greet me or smile and took the empty decanter. He returned a full metal cream decanter to me in fairly short order and actually said 'thank you'. The cream and sugar area was a little messy as is typical in any airport coffee shop. The coffee was fine; not great, not bad. In my next visit to Nashville I'll try a different coffee shop. read more

What takes away from this experience was how angry everyone felt while waiting in line, but regardless, the employees handled it well and stay professional. But it does surprise me that any business goes so cheap on technology that they just pour away customers. Here's the scene: packed airport returning and two restaurants so packed that they are unavailable. So this place has vending machine sandwiches by the dozens but CAN'T SELL THEM. I had a two hour layover, so I wasn't in a hurry. I think I saw 90% of the customers just abandon the line and leave their stuff. When I got to the counter I saw what was going on. They tried to ring up & scan the customer ahead of me perhaps five times. Kept faulting. Finally it worked. Then it worked on the second try with me. DO NOT GO HERE unless you have all the time in the world and don't mind vending machine snacks/sandwiches. And if you are the owners, do a bit of an ROI and actually watch your customers. read more

The only coffee spot in the D terminal I could find, but they certainly did not disappoint! I was here on a Sunday and it was super crowded. I probably waited in line for around 15-20 minutes, but that was to be expected! I picked up a bottle of water and an oat milk latte and the total was about 9$ before tip. The workers were super friendly and efficient. My latte was literally ready by the time I paid so I was ready to go. People who were ordering food had a bit longer of a wait. The latte itself was ok, the oat milk was pretty sweet (not my favorite, personally) so if I go back I would probably just get a black coffee! read more

Been here many times. Do NOT order drip coffee at this location -- it is pathetically weak / watery. Basically hot water with a hint of coffee. Might as well throw your money away. Unfortunately, you are better off spending even more money on an Americano with extra shot(s). At least then you'll get some caffeine. Definitely not like other 8th & Roast locations I've visited. What a shame too -- 8&R generally has good coffee but you'd never know it by trying this location. Whoever owns this location is clearly more interested in saving a buck (by using the least amount of coffee possible to brew with) than providing a decent cup of coffee.
