Dawn was our bartender, she set up the bar & was ready to serve on time. Dawn singlehandedly served variety of alcoholic & non-alcoholic drinks to our 100+ guests for almost 4 hours. She was efficient, made wonderful cocktails, was courteous & professional. Many of our guests made it a point to tell us that Dawn was an excellent bartender and did well at our event. However, once we were knee deep into planning, we had to put frosé on the backburner to prioritize everything else. About half a year before our wedding, this was still something the two of us wanted so we found Monterey Margarita Company. From the initial interaction, Gary was responsive, transparent, and helpful. Within an hour of our inquiry, Gary sent back a response giving us an estimate. In order to help us stay within budget, Gary gave us ideas and was willing to waive some fees to help us out. That says a lot about the business! He was also helpful in navigating how many bottles of Rosé to buy and accommodated for our non-drinkers as well! From that point on, Gary would check in with us until the week of the wedding. Besides being responsive, Gary always expressed enthusiasm for our wedding which in return made us even more excited. On the day of the wedding, Gary and Carmen stopped by and checked in on us before leaving us with their two wonderful attendants. They made sure that my husband and I got to try the first taste of their frosé. Delicious couldn't even begin to describe how great it tasted! On one of the most chaotic days of our lives, it felt so good to be able to relax and have a sip of the frosé. It's an understatement to say that the frosé was the highlight of the reception. She is on top of everything, super responsive, professional, and answered all of our questions. We made our booking way in advance but she followed up with instructions on how much booze to order, what to bring, what they need, and any details you can think of. We had a wedding of 50 guests at Big Sur. It was a super inconvenient location with 3 sets of stairs to the bar area, yet Raeven and Scott are there on time, hauled and set up all of the equipment and bar stuff neatly before our starting time! They are exceptional during the cocktail hour, making delicious drinks after drinks, and never making anybody wait too long. Their selections of cocktails are also extensive and cater to any preference. I chose their melon madness (cantaloupe, vodka, and soda), my husband chose their Kentucky mule. Both are delicious. Once we got to the venue, we realized we are short on wine since we forgot to bring a box of alcohol, and the night before I emailed Raeven to bring 4 extra bottles, and she was able to help us out at such a short notice! We did not as much of their bar tenders as we the event was beer and wine only, so they had the simple task of handing out beer and pouring wine/champagne for our guests at the party and did not even have to deal with making any sort of cocktails/mixed drinks. Even this simple task proved to be too challenging for them as the two bar tenders created a series of problems for us throughout the event, including: - showing up late to the event - one of the bar tenders secretly drinking the alcohol they were supposed to be serving and getting visibly drunk - the other bar tender consistently swearing like a sailor in front of all of our guests - the bar tenders started handing out full bottles of wine and champagne to guests which violated the policy of our venue and also resulted in us having to purchase more supplies for the event the next evening - and to top it off, the bar tenders put all of our red wine on ice for some unknown reason which ruined a large number of bottles we were waiting to serve the next evening I've tried contacting the company through a series of 7 emails over the past month as well as multiple calls and they've simply decided that if they ignore my outreach the problem may go away. This is obviously not how a business should be run and how you should treat your customers, so consider this a strong warning to anyone who may be considering using Night & Day's services!
