We waited a few minutes, but spying the bathroom all of 15 feet away (much needed), I decided to avail myself as Mother Nature demanded. On the return trip to the desk, I looked around to assess the equipment--nice! However, when I presented at the desk, I met Chantelle--not a client-facing soul. She, in full umbrage that I had passed her invisible and unbeknownst-to-me boundary, chided my friend as well as me that we were never to pass "her" desk into "her" gym without checking in. Not really a polite greeting in my estimation of customer service. Mine was an error of innocence, but her patronizing tone and scolding were uncalled for. So, in a feeble attempt to de-escalate, I expressed my interest in a one-month membership. She then demanded that I sign and fill in my personal information on your waiver (not a problem at all), but the harshness, peremptory tone, and patronizing were just too offensive. Where was the "Thank you for coming in, how may I help you?" or the "I would love to know more about your needs for a gym, and cannot wait to show you around if you would kindly fill in the waiver" politeness? Not a peep. Just shoving the screen at me to satisfy her immediate needs and no interest in me as a person, much less a customer. We left as fast as possible. I found polite customer service at the Fitness Factory.

If we'd have known the resort would've been so serene, we wouldn't stayed longer. They had a fire going during the day that was so nice and inviting. There was also a nice swing and play set for kids, and lots of space to run around. There are lots of trails to walk on the property too. The room was pet friendly, and looked out onto a beautiful forest! The bed was comfy and the room was fine for what we needed. Sunset and sunrise were breathtaking. BUT, the best part of the entire experience was the restaurant! Although our server seemed new, he was quick to ask the kitchen on things he didn't know, instead of giving us the wrong answer. We came in for breakfast as a family of four. White table cloths and a beautiful dining room made for the perfect ambiance! We were slightly worried about our kiddos not dressing super fancy and in ball hats, but it didn't matter and we felt very welcome. We ordered a couple typical breakfast items, which were delicious, but I got the shrimp and grits. They were made with a tomato broth instead of a cream, and the seasonings and ingredients tasted like New Orleans gumbo. It was perfection!! My son got blackened fish for breakfast, and he LOVED it! Even the coffee was dark and lovely. The best part, was that the chef came out to our table to greet us, ask us about the meal, as us where we're from and talk to my kids about sports and their team gear they were wearing. We couldn't give him enough compliments! Fun, don't walk to this place!

The smell of chlorine is overwhelming and at times the pool is so cloudy and murky from not enough chlorine. They can't seem to be able to regulate the chemicals which is dangerous and unhealthy for members.

Could it be There have been several really good people ("managers") in the 16 months we have been here but they seem to just disappear. My wife and I can live without antiseptic wipes, no hand soap , broken equipment ("parts have been ordered" ) or members who simply don't follow the posted rules. ( loud cellphone conversations, personal trainer music or instructions heard all over the gym). Where do we direct our gym related questions? Our biggest worry with no one on site and in charge is if there are quarrels between members , Who mediates those? There is a sign on the window suggesting a call to 911. My hope is that there will be some extreme revelation to the owner than the revolving Manager door is not good for future business and when you (if you do) find a good one , do whatever it takes to keep them.
