Hands down one of the best smoke shops I have been to. 818 Smoke Shop has a wide selection of high quality products. 818 has the best prices and friendliest staff that provide quality customer service. My gf and I Just moved to glendale last week from Tustin. Very excited to find a upscale smoke shop 2 min away from our new condo. Entering this place we were greeted by a kind employee named Henry. We came in about 15 min before closing...and considering it was the end of his shift, I was surprised by how patient, kind, welcoming, and informative he was (I asked a lot of questions regarding prices and product which inadvertently caused him to walk around the store a bit). Henry left a great first impression on us for our first time visiting. We are very thankful for his positive vibe and definitely knows how to make the customers feel welcomed. He also told us about the other location that's open till 1 am and considering I work super late throughout the week, that is great info to know. We initially came in for a replacement vape battery for my gf but when i noticed the kratom section..I couldn't help myself but check it out. One thing I always need close by is a smoke shop w/ kratom I can depend on. I'm a kratom user. For me it's my miracle herb. (Going on 4 years alcohol free this coming April thanks to kratom) needless to say I've become a sort of kratom connoisseur over the years. A variety of reasonably priced kratom is always something I look for when I enter a smoke shop. The selection here is phenomenal and the price is fairly set for the quantity/quality of the brands they provide (OPMS., KRAVE, BUMBLEBEE etc.). they aren't the lowest prices I've found(FYI: I only know of 2 other shops lower back in my old city), BUT.... they are still some of the lowest prices I've found compared to what I've seen other shops charge. The fact that they are litterally 2 min away makes it totally worth it. I would have to drive an hour to get lower prices than this and ummm that would cost me more considering gas prices LOL. The major thing I'm excited for is knowing that they carry my "go to" strain of Kratom (Krave Trainwreck...ironically not a lot of stores carry it) I didn't pick up any TrainWreck though because I just bought 250 grams from my previous local shop before moving out here. But I noticed they had a strain that I had yet to find (Bumblebee "Vietnam" kratom) so I grabbed a 2oz(60 gram) just to try it out. Im very happy with this place..definitely wanna check out there other product (glass, cbd, vapes etc.) it looks like I'm going to be coming back frequently and I'm definitely going to check out there other location (which Henry informed is even larger ). Thank you 818, you have instantly become our new local shop. And a very special thanks to Henry for adding more positivity/warmth to our overall experience settling in the fantastic city of Glendale. You are another reason why we love it here in our new home. We are happy we moved here and we are happy we found your store. Location is good, close to things. The guys that work there are pretty cool, helpful. They usually have everything in stock. One less star for one thing, compared to the smoke shops in this city and surrounding cities, they have the highest prices (go see yourself and compare). Good luck guys. read more

We stumbled on this shop the week they opened and have been frequenting them ever since. Gary and Sam are the owners, both are really effing cool. They are always there to greet you and to get to know their neighborhood clientele. They have a wide selection of glassware, vape products, and hookah related things. They are open late, til about 12:30am, for any impromptu smoke shop needs. I love supporting smaller local businesses and these guys are doing everything right. Def pay them a visit. read more

He reiterated several times that the lights were off implying that this is a clear sign of do not enter the open door of a public business at noon on a Saturday. He insisted I "hang out" for a bit which I had no interest in. I wasn't going to argue with him to sell me butane so I went to another smoke shop that is 900 feet away from this shop east on sunset. They gladly assisted in my 10 cans of butane. Turns out I was 2 minutes early and was still treated as if I was trespassing. He seemed like a nice kid but he lost you guys a sale and now I would gladly walk 700 more ft to not be treated like a trespasser when your employee leaves the door unlocked and leaves the location unattended.

I told him he can scan it if he wants. He stands there repeatedly looking between the ID and I while letting out these loud long sighs. This goes on for about 2-3 minutes before finally telling me he doesn't have a scanner. He says, "Can't you just go to a 7/11 or something? I don't feel comfortable." Ok white dreads, are you stupid or are you dumb? If 7/11 had the brand of vape I wanted why would I come here. Waste of my time and gas. Not to mention it takes hella long to find parking in this part of York. I am local to this area and will not be coming back.
