Walked into the place and asked for a mid skin fade and I told Lara I do a natural line for the comb over and he gave me a strange uneven side line and I ended up coming out with a high fade that hardly even fades (almost looks like I got the 1 guard all around), the guy cut off way too much up top. After telling the barber he cut too much on top he said "that's just how I do mid fades". Paid 40 dollars plus tip to come out with a rushed super cuts haircut. read more

Ive been going to this shop for a few years now and have always loved my cut. Celia cuts my hair but others have stepped in and my cuts always been cleaned proper. Location is great and professionalism is ALWAYS on point. As a high Femme customer, barber shop etiquette is huge for me. 81 Barbers has always been a professional great vibe while walking out with a dope cut. I have been to '81 Barbers twice now and been cut by Celia. Each time was prompt and the haircut turned out great and didn't take too long to get done. Celia recommends products based on what I tell her im planning for my hair at that time but is not pushy about sales. Each time I booked I've been able to get in the same day. Been here a few times and have always left satisfied with the quality of their work and the friendly service. I've only had my haircut by Peter and it's always been easy to schedule (online) and is always prompt and done with care. At the time of this review price is $35 for a fade and trim which is a bit higher compared to other shops around town but I feel is totally worth it being the service and quality is great. They recently moved their location to the San Agustin market place in Menlo Park. The atmosphere of the shop is nice and makes it feel that you are getting a more premium experience as they have a nicer seating area and a small bar. read more

I found this place while searching on Apple Maps. The reviews were excellent so I figured I'd give it a shot. I booked an appointment with LJ through the website. The booking was quick and easy, and luckily LJ had appt times available. I asked for a bald fade, medium high-- and LJ did a great job. The haircut was perfect, straight up. The convo was great too, and LJ even gave me some suggestions on where to go in town, since I knew I was just visiting Tucson. I will definitely stop in there for a haircut next time I'm in Tucson. Daniel did an excellent job. I walked in, and he was ready for me on time. He greeted me by my name, indicating that he was prepared. I then showed him pictures of the classic style I wanted, and he understood what to do. I could tell he was good by his efficient, detail oriented movements and the way he signaled me to move my head. It was a pleasure talking to him too. I think I got their newby barber... I just get my head shaved one size - no gaurd, scruff trimmed and mustache left alone. There's random long hairs all over my head that he missed, my mustache is uneven and trimmed scruff uneven... all for $48 (with tip). I always notice after I leave a barbers shop with the unevenness and missed hairs, but if I'm paying $48 for a 20 minute shave and trim; I better not have to double check a barbers work. read more

This is the best place in the whole State to get a hair cut I've been having Isaias cut my hair for years since 2013 when i moved here. where ever he go's I go. I went today last minute and they were still able to help me. Peter gave me the best haircut I've even gotten here in Tucson. I'm new to the city and I'm glad I found a Barber shop that I will go to my entire college stay here in Tucson. The environment is very friendly and fun. This place is good but it has its flaws. I used to go there pretty regularly for about a year. I was generally pretty satisfied with my cuts. But after the pandemic, the dudes over there kinda lost their technique a little bit. I had one barber who reeeeally messed up my hair- twice. He made it look like my hair had shelves on it. I don't know what he was trying to do... i think he wanted to give me a combover with some fade on the sides? Except he didn't fade it on the side. So, it looked bad. Real bad. I went back to him to give him a second chance to fix it. He made it worse. Sorry, fellas. Less talking, more cutting. This is sort of the problem with barbers- they're trying to pamper men with this weird bro bonding experience that they forget that they're supposed to be professionals doing a job. read more

I've had my hair cut 4 times and I have now found my go to barber. Niko gives me a cut that looks good for weeks. I don't know what he does but it works for me. The whole crew is very cool and make you feel comfortable and welcome. Awesome place!
