Snacks, snacks, and more snacks!

This is a massive outdoor market! A mecca collection of local farmers produce, clothes, tools, local artisans, boots, paints, local food and snacks, and everything in between can be found here every weekend at a VERY affordable price compared to anywhere else. Definitely worth a stop for a bite and while your there take a stroll and I'm sure you'll find plenty of interests there. Certainly one of the towns original farmers market.

Omg this place is so much fun. Great deals and tons of selection. 5 rows of shopping and each stall is probably a mile long. I love all the food trucks and snack stands. You are constantly eating and walking. Seriously you can spend your whole day there. I got so much cool stuff and food at super reasonable prices.

Mainly love to come to eat and I forgot the name of the place we ate I think it might Laura's but can't remember. Then we walk off the food after and buy the cheap produce afterwards. Definitely a place to try out on the weekends early.

Bathrooms not working!!! Should never have let customers in the building. I'm sure the water dept knew this flush was scheduled.

The Brownsville flea market is amazing. One of the first places I went to in Brownsville when I…read moremoved here and it is like nothing I've ever seen anywhere else in the US. It has some vintage clothes and accessories and some antique furniture, but these are not really the most common vendors, as they are at flea markets in other areas. This is a place to get food, rummage through junk for cool pieces of machines and car parts, buy a pet turtle or a chicken, find some traditional Mexican herbal remedies, and just plain experience the amazing culture of the Rio Grande Valley. It's outdoors and involves a lot of walking (because it's so big and there are many vendors!), so wear light clothing in the summer. If you can stand the heat, get some tacos, corn, or freshly fried chips (that come seasoned and on a long stick) at one of the trucks/stands, and definitely an agua fresca (the carts for these have large clear containers filled with fruit juices, and often fruit salads). Aguas frescas are like a mix between juice and a smoothie and I highly recommend the melon (not watermelon, but cantaloupe) flavor. Do not under any circumstances leave the Valley without trying one. Unless you are diabetic, because I'm guessing these things have, like, a half cup of sugar in them.

We had a lot of fun . Got a plant and a sign and plan to go back next year. Lots to see go early…read morenot late because as the day goes on it get hotter
