Extremely dangerous experience - avoid this place if you value your safety…read more I brought my VW campervan to this station for a propane fill, and it turned into a terrifying, hazardous ordeal. The attendant communicated poorly and abruptly yelled "it's full!!! Already full, $2, it's full!" before walking away - without putting the propane cap back on. The overwhelming smell of propane hit us immediately. We left quickly, resecured the cap ourselves, but the smell persisted. Just a couple miles down the road, while checking tires in Vavolone, I insisted we pull over because the propane smell was still strong. To my horror, propane was spraying out of the tank area. I have no experience with propane and suspected a valve was left open. I tried calling the station but couldn't get help - no one understood me, and I couldn't understand them either. Fearing for our safety, we drove (very cautiously) across the street to an ARCO station that also offered propane. Their attendant inspected the tank and confirmed what we feared: the previous station had dangerously overfilled the tank and left a valve wide open. It had frozen from overpressure. He had to release a significant amount of propane just to bring it to a safe level. Once we got to our campsite a few hours later, none of our propane appliances worked. Our fridge is completely shot, the heater is dead, and our stove flickers erratically. We are now scared to use propane at all due to the very real risk of explosion, fire, or worse. This is not just about poor service - it was life-threatening. * We were driving with propane leaking into a moving vehicle. * The tank was overfilled, which is a documented safety hazard that can lead to appliance failure and explosions. * We could have easily lost our lives due to incompetence. I've tried reaching out to the owner/manger to talk about this and haven't received any response. We want the station to take accountability for this negligence and to compensate us for the damaged appliances and the trauma we went through. I'm also calling attention to this for anyone else who may be unknowingly put at risk. Please don't go here for propane. Your safety depends on it.
