Built in 2020 and opened in 2022, incidentally the last time they cleaned any portion of the men's restroom, this facility has to have the highest gas price in all of California: $6.559 per gallon of 87-octane gasoline. Pass. The fuel station has to compete for the "Worst Business in California" award with the Chevron located on the other side of U.S. 40 in Ludlow. Customers service? This place hires those fired from the Chevron (on the other side of US 40) for incompetence: obviously, they have to be re-trained after lunch. Imagine what the bathroom of Calcutta's notorious "Dark Hole" prison must smell like... and this is what you smell walking into the Dairy Queen. I was tempted to take my shoes off and sanitize them after walking into the bathroom to wash my hands. May Heaven help the poor individual who might have to use the toilet there: the condition of the toilet was disgusting... and beyond description, other than to say it would be difficult to see any portion of the porcelain that was actually white (it's true color): there was no toilet paper in the toilet stall, and the bathroom doesn't have a paper towel dispenser, either. Yanno? Maybe the owner of this facility should have visitors clean the bathroom after use. After seeing the contents of the toilet which overflowed onto the floor, I'd suggest using napalm to clean the floor, followed by an incendiary grenade. White phosphorus should work, too. Maybe I was hungry when I walked into the Dairy Queen, but I lost my appetite. This place is so bad, not even the employees will give it a 5-star rating. Later today, I'm filing a complaint with every California state agency that has jurisdiction over this facility. read more

All gas stations in Ludlow are way overpriced, but beware of the convenience store at the 76. Many overpriced items and almost everything in the store lacks a price tag. You don't find out the prices until you take it all up to the register. I hope they pay their cashier's extra to have to price check and return all the items people don't actually purchase after knowing the inflated prices here. read more

Yes, prices are high here, but that is to be expected. If this town didn't carry gas, you'd have almost 150 miles between stops (Barstow to Needles). You can get food & gas here, stretch your legs and use the restroom. Very conveniently located. read more

This is a truest horrible place! It's bad enough the bathrooms are outhouses but I just opened the doors to each one and poop is piled up so high if you even try to go in there you'll get a disease. Someone needs to call the heath department! This place has a Dairy Queen inside. Which is about the only redeeming quality of the place... if you are desperate. The gas station/convenience store is set up in such a way that if you have someone that is disabled don't bother getting out of your car. You couldn't get a wheel chair in here if you had to. Additionally, items that are either glass or fragile are placed on shelves which easily allow them to be knocked off and broken in very cramped quarters. Gas prices are a great bit higher than Needles which is only 90 miles if you are going East bound or if you are going West bound only 50 miles to Barstow. Both of which also have Dairy Queen's as well as far better gas prices, customer service, and selections. read more

The workers were friendlier than I expected. However, the inside is a bit cluttered. The fact it was packed with people doesn't help, though. One of the rest stops along the way was really scary, but this one was agreeable for multiple reasons! First of all, there was a Dairy Queen inside, which was a cool option! If your in the middle on the 40 HWY DO GET OFF HERE no decent restrooms we used to stop here for a break go to the restroom for they had a decent one inside. We also always got snacks, water, soda, chips etc. There's six of us when we go to Lake Havasu so we spent about $30-40 at least each time. We no longer do this for now for a few months ago they put in port-a- potties outside that aren't kept up and stink, they are nasty. They also have a portable hand washing station outside of them and it burned my hands because the water was so hot. The port a potties had signs on them that said "BEWARE OF SNAKES". Plus, who wants to go in a port a potty in 120 degree heat. They Dairy Queen across the highway is dirty and they also only have port a potties also. We now stop at the outskirts of Barstow at Loves. Its much nicer the restrooms are clean, there are many toilet stalls to use inside the store area and the gasoline is reasonable. They even have showers in the back section for truckers. There are also restarea's along the highway that aren't out houses or port-o-johns. read more
