It's always busy but employees do a good job getting everyone serviced and in and out quickly. Prices are already better than other gas stations and then with your Fred Meyer discount, depending on your points, it's 10 cents to 59 cents less per gallon. Who doesn't love that? Even if the lines take a little longer, for the great price, it's worth it. Tolerance is so underrated and needed, especially in the current environment. Easy access from Freddy's parking lot or the side street entrance. Trader Joe's is on the next block so I fill up on gas then fill up on Trader Joe's faves.

Fred Meyer Management 8955 SE 82nd Ave…read moreHappy Valley, OR 97086 Dear Sir/Madam, I am writing to formally lodge a complaint regarding a hazardous incident and subsequent poor customer service that occurred at your Fred Meyer location at 8955 SE 82nd Ave, Johnson Creek, on Thursday, November 28th, at approximately 10:24 AM. While using pump #1 at the diesel self-service station, the pump failed to stop automatically, resulting in an overflow and a significant diesel spill. I promptly sought assistance from the station attendants, who were screaming to shut down the diesel pump due to the hazardous spill. One of the employees who came to help clean up the spill mentioned that this issue with the diesel pumps is recurring and has been previously reported to management, but no action has been taken to resolve it. Following the incident, my wife and I went inside the store to speak with the management. We waited by the florist area until two men approached us. The older gentleman, who we later learned is named Kevin and is the assistant manager, asked how he could help us. When I explained the hazardous situation and the need for the diesel pump to be fixed, he dismissively claimed he had never heard any previous complaints about it and blamed me for the incident because I used the self-service pump, insisting that I was liable. He was very rude, speaking loudly and treating us as if we were ignorant. When I asked to file a claim in case my vehicle sustained any damage from the incident, my wife detailed the incident in the claim form. After she finished, Kevin rudely pulled the paper from her hand. When I requested a copy, he said they would call us and attempted to keep the document. We managed to take pictures of the claim before leaving the store. After leaving the store, we asked a store employee for the manager's name, as Kevin never introduced himself. We were informed that the store manager is named Jackie and that she was off for the holidays. We then called 1-800-KROGER to report this incident and open another claim. The employee who took our report was more understanding and apologized for the situation. We requested a phone call from upper-level management as soon as possible. On November 29th, we received a voicemail from a Kroger claim representative, but when I called back, no one answered. I received another voicemail on Sunday, December 1st. When I called back, I spoke to another employee who did not know what I was talking about and asked me to open another claim. I requested to be transferred to management multiple times, and she placed my call on hold, but no one picked up after several minutes, so I hung up. I am deeply disappointed and frustrated with the way this situation has been handled. Not only did we experience a hazardous incident, but the customer service we received from the assistant manager and subsequent interactions with your claims department were unprofessional and dismissive. This is not the level of service I expect from a company with the reputation of Fred Meyer. I request that you investigate this matter urgently and take necessary corrective actions to prevent future occurrences. Additionally, I seek assurance that the claim we filed will be properly processed and that we will be informed of any developments. Furthermore, I would appreciate a response detailing the steps that will be taken to address this problem and ensure customer safety at your gas stations. Thank you for your prompt attention to this matter. Sincerely, Jorge A

Fred Meyer Gas - This is their way of informing the public that they no longer will reach the hose around if your gas fill is opposite the pump!

I waited about 7 minutes and nobody came to my car or motions to me that they'll be right with me when they can. After that 7 minutes I moved my car closer to the building just in case they didn't notice me. waited another three minutes. I watched two guys walk past my car without ever making eye contact with me and I watched another vehicle have one guy talking to the driver while the other one stood in the back with his hand on the gas pump like he was waiting to find out how much he should pump. I decided to leave. I went into the main building of Fred Meyers and looked for a manager the gentleman I found was named Andy up by the cashiers. I asked for information about the manager I should talk to in charge of the gas. He told me he did not know. I then ask to talk to his manager since they may know the managers from the other departments. He told me that there was no manager over him and that he was it. I did not believe this so I wandered around the store some more till I found another employee and asked him who the highest manager would be. I did get another gentleman who came out of the back stockroom. I do not remember what his name was but he also told me he was the head manager and that currently he was in charge of all the Departments since the actual store managers have all gone home around 5. He had a very agreeable personality and assured me that he will pass along the information to the manager for the gas station when they come in the next day. He did tell me though that he was shocked that Andy informed me he was the current manager. Also told me he was going to go out and talk to the guys at the gas station now. I ended up leaving and getting gas someplace else and the only reason this does not get one star is because that last manager made me feel like he was going to take care of it.

After waiting in line we pull up only to be told that as of 3 weeks ago they will no longer do reach around fills. Thus they made us go around and enter a long line again. While pulling up I notice an 8.5x11 paper with print too small to recognize unless you are looking for it saying so. I'd be interested to know what brainiac for what reason suddenly made this policy and why they think printing it out on a letter size paper unreadable size is informing the public.

Astro - 5/2/2025 - Note the big ole concrete thing I had to walk completely around because I had to get so close since the hose has zero stretch.

The price is significantly less if you use cash or mildly less if your use your debit card with the pin. I thankfully have a small car. I was trying to get into one of the spaces to fill my tank. The gas pump hoses, FYI, DO NOT STRETCH! I have a tiny car so the hose on pumps that stretch very little are usually zero problem but nope... zero stretch at all. Unfortunately the other cars were firmly staying in their spaces so I had to do the whole drive out, turn around and back in. Parking I had to be super careful of this very large and obnoxiously placed concrete thing. And then it is a bit scary to drive out of there as cars come barreling around the corner onto 39th from Powell. Yikes.... There is an ARCO further down towards Belmont that also has some of the lower prices. It is a bit safer to get in and out of depending on the time of the day.

I only used the high pressure hose and went around the car several times. When the timer started beeping, I did a couple more times around, then WAITED UNTIL THE WATER STOPPED AND THE TIMER READ ZERO. Imagine my surprise when I checked my bank account that evening to find a $10 charge on my account. That's total BS - I'll be filling a dispute with my bank and reporting them to the BBB and Oregon Corporate Licensing board.
