He mapped out the measurements of our backyard with great detail and precision. If you live in an area that has HOA, then you know what a hassle it can be to summit plans that they approve. The crew were very approachable to any questions or concerns I had during the process. Our house came with some pavers already put in from the builder. I had a concern that they wouldn't match the new pavers I wanted to put in. The construction crew blended the pavers together beautifully, they matched 100%. We decided on the Rockn' 80s for the turf and my kids love running around on it. The value that this company has is more than just receiving an awesome deal on landscaping. The hard working attributes of their employees is what makes them stand out! Highly recommended!

It's incredibly frustrating to be ignored, especially when you're trying to give a company your business. I expected at least the courtesy of a response. This kind of lack of communication shows poor customer care and zero follow-through. Sadly, I am forced to take my business elsewhere.

The rock in my front yard was originally installed in 2001 and is no longer available. JRs went above and beyond to find a very similar rock, and the match was perfect! I had also met with another landscaper who simply told me to go to the rock yard and find a match myself. They never made any effort to help find something comparable. JRs, on the other hand, took the time to find a solution and made the entire process so easy. They were professional from start to finish. The rock was delivered the evening before so the crew could get started first thing in the morning. I received text notifications throughout the process regarding the appointment, delivery, and start of the work, which kept me informed every step of the way. The crew worked incredibly hard, followed all of my instructions, and took great care to clean up when they were finished. They even hosed off the road and the rock after it was installed. The price was very reasonable and worth every penny. I couldn't be happier with the results or the service I received. I would absolutely recommend JRs to anyone looking for quality landscaping work, and I would definitely use them again!

I requested for tree trimming services, weed pulling, blowing and haul away for the branches cut. I…read morewas happy with the weed pulling and blowing, but tree trimming is not this guy, Rafa's forte. He trimmed one side of my tree and left the other side (the front of the tree that everyone can see) full and overgrown just on the one side. When he was done with the trim, the tree looked like it got struck by lightning. It was terrible! His excuse for not finishing was that he didn't have the right equipment and that he had another job to go to. Ok. I accepted the excuse of not having the proper equipment as they seemed nice and spent a good amount of time on our initial project.m; but the reason of having to go to another job is unacceptable. That is not our problem. If you're going to be paid for a job, you should finish it. I paid Rafa and even gave him and his sidekick a tip with the promise of him returning to finish the tree trimming. Boy! Do I regret it! Rafa was supposed to come back 2 months later to finish what he didn't finish (as agreed) and to do the regular maintenance, which isn't much as we live in the desert after all (weed pulling and blowing and occasional tree trimming when necessary). Well, he didn't show up so we contacted him and he said that he was busy so he couldn't come out (as if that is our problem). Anyhow, he said he would show a week or so later but didn't show again. We had to contact him again and then he goes to say that he would stop by yesterday (Monday). We texted him to confirm that he was going to come by but he decided he would change it to the next day. I understand that we all have lives but if you make a commitment with a customer, you have to stick with it and not cancel as many times as Rafa did. He finally showed today and just trimmed one tree but was still not enough as he agreed to do what we asked during his initial visit, which is to trim the trees down short. His sidekick blew the area of debris and loaded a few branches on to the trailer. Rafa decides to then start cleaning up and put away his tools. Mind you, we were watching them work and noticed that Rafa's work ethics need a bit of a fine tuning. We texted him to show us what he cut but decided that he would just speed off (no exaggeration either) as I was coming out to talk to him. I specifically texted him and let him know that he didn't finish the job and that I would like to talk to him to let him know what needed to have done but he wasn't having it and just left. Can you believe that he had had the nerve to ask for more money and tell us that the tree grew too much (bc he had us wait almost 3 months for maintenance when it was agreed to at 2 months) for him to waste his time on since he had other customers? I couldn't believe our ears. We couldn't just let it go and was hoping to get him to come back to finish the job. We tried calling and texting but no response. I think that our customer to gardener relationship will probably be over. If you want your gardening/landscaping completed, you might want to hire another company. I will not EVER recommend this guy, Rafa, to anyone.

I reached out to my community for recommendations, and Pancho the Gardener, LLC came highly suggested. From the very first interaction, they exceeded expectations. They responded quickly, communicated clearly, and came out promptly to assess the project. Their quote was not only fair--it was the best price received after comparing a dozen companies. What truly sets them apart is their expertise and attention to detail. They took the time to thoroughly explain every aspect of the redesign and installation, offering thoughtful, creative solutions that showed both skill and genuine care for the outcome. I had a large backyard on an older house that I haven't maintained but recently got a dog and it was time to give him a nice area. I had 7 people come out with quotes. Z Best did the entire area (aside from outer rock edges) for basically the same price some people just quoted me on the large turf. Rob was mindful of price and even offered alternatives that other places never did. The quality of turf is outstanding. The pavers are beautiful. They even spread the old rocks they pulled up all around the edges and front yard as to not waste them. But what really shined was Rob and his team. Rob has such a good personality and is truly a caring guy, you can tell immediately. Kimmy in the office was a pleasure to work with. Martin completed our initial estimate, and at first the communication was great. Unfortunately,…read moreafter that, things started going downhill. It's disappointing because I really wanted to love this company, but the entire experience has been filled with frustrations, constant follow-ups, and having to ask why things weren't getting done. On the first day of the project, the crew arrived and began measuring the area. They knocked on my door because they wanted to confirm some measurements. When I went outside, they explained that the measurements Martin had provided seemed off and that the border where the plants were supposed to go was much wider than expected. I agreed and told them that wasn't what Martin and I had discussed. I immediately called Martin and explained that the measurements were incorrect and did not match the design photo I had been shown. He told me he had used Google Maps for measurements and that sometimes it's not accurate. I was shocked because I specifically thought he had physically measured the area himself. He then informed me that additional materials would be needed, resulting in an extra cost of approximately $1,900 for more pavers and artificial grass. I explained that this was not my mistake and that it was his responsibility to ensure the measurements were accurate. I had asked multiple times if the quoted amount was final because one of my biggest concerns was avoiding a seam in the artificial grass. While he ultimately corrected the issue without charging me the additional amount, I still ended up with a visible seam running through the grass. Which I'm not happy about still. We also added a raised seating area with lighting. After installation, the area had a significant slope that was very noticeable. When I brought it to their attention, they explained that some slope was necessary for water runoff. However, this wasn't a slight slope it looked more like a sunken area on one side of the square. They eventually came back and corrected it. The pavers have also been an ongoing issue. They were uneven and not properly leveled. The company has returned twice to address the problem. While there has been some improvement, it still isn't what I would consider acceptable, and the unevenness remains noticeable. The plants they installed also began drying out. They had to return twice to address that issue as well, but only after delays and on their own schedule. Currently, I still have cracked pavers, chipped pieces, and stained pavers that need to be replaced. I am still waiting for a response regarding these issues. Once again, everything seems to be handled at their convenience rather than with urgency or concern for customer satisfaction. My overall impression is that once the company secures the job, customer service significantly declines. The quality issues, lack of communication, repeated repairs, and delays have made what should have been an exciting project into a frustrating experience. As a customer who invested a significant amount of money, I expected better workmanship, accountability, and follow-through.

We couldn't be happier with our new patio. It turned out even more beautiful than we had imagined!…read more When we requested an estimate, Evan came to our home. We explained that we wanted a low-maintenance outdoor space that felt clean, modern, and sophisticated. About a week later, Evan sent us a design image created by their in-house designer. Evan was also the one who recommended the white decorative rock, which makes the patio feel brighter and more spacious, as well as the gray multicolored pavers for the area where we planned to install our pergola. We happened to have very similar tastes, but more than anything, we were truly impressed by his excellent sense of design. His recommendations helped bring our vision to life. The project was originally scheduled to take three days, but the entire job was completed in just a day and a half! The entire crew was incredibly professional. They worked with incredible speed and efficiency, and the finished work was absolutely perfect. We were especially impressed by Nicco, the manager, and the entire crew. Watching them work so hard in the intense heat, with such dedication and professionalism, truly made us appreciate their efforts. We also received estimates from three other companies. The other companies told us that a design image would cost $500, but this company provided ours free of charge. We were also told by other companies that we would need additional drainage pipes. After carefully examining our patio area, Evan confidently told us that they were not necessary, which helped us avoid an unnecessary expense. Everyone we interacted with was friendly, professional, and trustworthy. They sincerely listened to our wishes and questions and gave us honest, professional advice. Because of that, we felt completely comfortable leaving the project in their hands. Now, one of our favorite things to do is simply look at our patio throughout the day. It has a different beauty in the morning, during the day, and at night, and we truly enjoy seeing how it changes with the light. We are incredibly grateful to Evan, Nicco, and the entire team. Thank you so much for creating such a beautiful space for us!
