Upon realizing that there were no independent coffee house in Winter Haven, he wanted to bring residents and visitors a new coffee drinking experience. Richard's originally operated out of the Arcade Building before moving to the new Winter Haven Public Library when it opened its new building in 2005. In the ensuing years Richard's Fine Coffee's has become a cornerstone to the revitalization of downtown. One of the keys to Richard's longevity has been providing a place where people can meet, relax, and enjoy delicious coffee and bites. On the first Friday of every month they have a live music event. They serve a daily breakfast and lunch menu that includes hot and cold coffee drinks, breakfast sandwiches, bagels, hot and cold sandwiches, salads, soup, and pastries. I was there prior to the Grand Opening and they were still finding their way. They advertised pancakes but didn't have any so I got a waffle. It was beautifull decorated. The pistachio cream was on the thick side but it covered for the fact the waffle was pretty bland--needed more vanilla or something? The coffee is always stellar in rich flavor. They had not yet established their menu. If they work out supply and demand this will become a 5-star coffee venue. I look forward to returning.
