This new grocery store sticks out in the neighbourhood with its neon green building colour, it's…read morereally hard to miss it! There's a lot of parking and the carts did not require coins (quarters) to use. COViD protocols are followed here and there was a person there to wipe down my cart before using. I wasn't sure what to expect cuz google reviews referred to it as a desi store, and their store opening neighbourhood mail out noted it was a south Asian grocer. I was pleasantly surprised that there's a ton of variety here catering to all sorts of Asian groceries as well as western groceries. The building is brightly lit and the produce is plentiful, fresh, lots of different kinds (including Asian veggies) and affordable (I saw no bruising or wilting on the fruits and veggies either). I'd say a large majority of the store caters to East Indians which suits the demographic here, but there was also lots of foods that specifically target Filipino, Korean, Chinese, etc. that would usually be found by going to multiple specialty shops...I'm glad it's like a one stop shop! There were a lot of discounted goods too and some even have stickers with additional savings at checkout; $5 fully decorated fudge cake?... Um yes please!! Honestly, I walked in for fruit and came out an hour later like a bandit! There's even some interesting flavours like fruit HP sauce, or masala smoked chicken deli meat. I am also impressed they sell a good variety of meat skewers and halal meat. They also sell reusable grocery bags if you forget your own, or you can ask for a box which is free. You can also opt to donate $10 for a mystery grocery food bag to be donated to the less fortunate fortunate. I'm pretty pumped that this place is so close to home, it might even become my new regular grocery store since there's so many new things I want to come back to try and add to the weekly family meal plan.

It's been a while, but I can still vividly remember some key things about this place. First of all, it's extremely jam packed, from floor to ceiling, with goodies commonly found in the Philippines. Odds are, you will find something to snack on in here. Two snacks I often enjoy are the familiar Chippy corn chips and Sarsi (tastes like root beer) pop. There's quite a variety of items in this store - you just need the time and patience to look through everything. The store layout is a bit awkward. The "aisles" are pretty tight. Clausterphobic people might have trouble maneuvering inside. It's a bit of a maze to find your way to the cashier at the back of the store. Nowadays, there are larger Asian grocery stores available that sell the same or similar items. However, I do see the value in supporting these smaller stores and their owners, whenever we have a chance. For those who live in walking distance to this location, this store is convenient compared to other places where you might have to drive farther.

Stopped into Fuzion today because they have a few gluten free donuts that we heard online. But when…read morewe walked through the door we were fully expecting all the aromas of a bakery. Buuuut for such a huge building space we were met with a very small store front which consisted of a small display counter of their donut selection and a fridge for gluten free which contained a box of donut flavors and another cabinet for normal donuts. In behind that was 2 fuzion signs to block what was behind them and a 18 foot ladder propped against an unfinished back wall. Pretty sketchy looking in our opinion. Service was quick, mainly because nobody was in there but we ordered 2 gluten free donuts at $4.50 each and 2 other donuts. My wife said the gluten free donut had a weird aftertaste to it. And I ordered a root beer float and a Ferraro rocher'. The root beer float was messy as hell and came with a small gummy on-top. Pretty sweet and a mild flavor on the inside. But to me it was just a donut with mild flavor that came out of a cabinet with an unknown time that it was made. Considering it was a weird store front, I'm thinking they are brought in from another location and to be sold from here. Which would make sense if they ever ran out, since they clearly are not made in store.
