Decent enough place, though the parking lot is small and usually packed until 10 PM when the Dollar General closes. The Elmora entrance to the lot confuses many people, as there are separate entry and exit ramps, and drivers will sometimes go the wrong way on them. I will often avoid parking there because the lot is so small I'm worried my car will get hit. The front of the store also seems prone to people loitering and homeless panhandlers. For the longest time, there was a large man outside the 7-Eleven who would always be talking to himself, and you knew he should probably be getting care in a hospital or facility somewhere rather than being on the streets. But as far as I know, he's never hurt anyone, and I haven't seen him for quite some time.

This 7-11 is rather large, with relatively wide aisles and high ceilings. The cashier area is easily one of the biggest ones I recall seeing in comparison to other 7-11's. I've always found what I needed there but their prices are a bit high compared to a supermarket. It's one of those places you hit up in a pinch. The shop owners keep the store very clean and while a bit gruff, they do get you checked out quick.

The menu spans several screens on the wall and is a bit overwhelming for someone new. They do have 2 self-serve kiosks where you order and I found the menu on there better organized and less daunting. I later saw they have a physical menu which the employee gave to the customer once things slowed down a little. The place had a retro feel - with tons of soda-related decor - but... simple. Counter seats and a number of tables so you can stay and hang out/chat. Took my kids here on a Friday afternoon and they were busy. Only one person was working and there was a huge party already there plus a few others. It took a while to get our order and because she was so busy, I couldn't ask any questions; one of my kids has multiple food allergies... so I played it safe. I ordered: Custom #1: kid size (12 oz), sprite, mango syrup, vanilla creme, mango popping boba. Kid absolutely loved this. She's notorious for not finishing anything and she did eventually finish this. Custom #2: kid size, sprite with vanilla Creme and strawberry popping boba. This was for my kid with the food allergies and he wasn't as thrilled. Said the boba tasted funny? And he wasn't bummed I didn't add in chocolate drizzle because I couldn't ask any questions. Butterscotch Lollipop Root Beer: regular size. I got this for myself and it was quite good. Tasted like a butterscotch version of a root beer float, which is a guilty pleasure I love. I was hesitant on syrups being added to soda since I don't like too sweet things, but it worked out beautifully. Bill came out to $14.75. A note: kid size and regular size are the same price but you get more for the regular size. Drinks are around $5 and can differ depending on what you add in there and how crazy you go. They come in these cute, plastic containers where the aluminum lid is screwed on, reminiscent of a can of soda. Overall, I was pleasantly surprised because I honestly don't like carbonated sugary drinks. In fact, the only time I like it is - ironically - in a float. I'd return again for sure! I didn't think they were overpriced (other than the two smallest sizes being the same/similar base price for different amounts but that's more like the kid size isn't a good deal... in fact, the mango kid custom drink cost more than mine with the additional add ins) but I do wish they had more employees working. Having said that, I wouldn't get the regular size for my kids; too much sugar! Place was adequately clean; I had to wipe down our table (watermarks and a sticky spot) but since she's the only one working, I don't hold it against her. This place is a fun addition! I verbally told this gas attendant to only put what the gas machine first (FIRST) stopped at it being full. The gas attendant nodded his head initially in agreement, HOWEVER, later, when the gas first stopped at full, this gas attendant continued to allow the gas to keep going (and charging into more dollars) that I had to pay for. I asked the gas attendant, why did he do that. He said, sorry with a smirk. Then he also thought it was okay for the truck driver behind me at the gas machine, to park within 2-3 inches in the back of my car. I will not go there again. It is a shame on how this car attendant conducted himself when in the past, even late at night, I had met much politer car attendants there. The gas attendant this afternoon did not have the same values or politeness about customers as his late night Colleagues have.

This weekend I went to H Mart to buy some oranges for Chinese New Year. We give them as gifts to family and friends when we visit their homes. Shocked, they were selling three for $3.99. The frugal Chinese shopper in me says, no way am I paying that price. Went to Trader Joe's instead and they were selling a bag of eight for $4.99. I even told the girl who was stacking the oranges how H Mart had the nerve to charge so much. Lol. As I continued to shop around the store, the girl came up to me with another bag of oranges and said take this bag instead it has nine (instead of 8) oranges. The fact that she took the time to look for me is what Trader Joe's is all about. That totally made my day. The workers go above & beyond. And don't get me started on the cashiers, I always enjoy saying hi to them and engaging in some friendly conversation. If you can't find a product, a worker will walk you to the aisle.
