The location is convenient, the property is always well-maintained, and the pumps are clean and easy to use. The inside of the station is also clean and organized, with a good selection of snacks, drinks, and other items you may need while you're on the go. The staff is always friendly, polite, and welcoming, which makes a difference when you're a regular customer. I appreciate having a gas station that I can count on for a quick, easy, and pleasant experience every time I stop. Whether I'm just filling up or running in for something, I've always had a positive experience here. Definitely my preferred Shell and a place I'll continue coming back to. Five stars! Also, the fact that it has Dunkin' Donuts inside is a plus !

Somehow this is one of the smaller shell stations locally yet it's ALWAYS busy! 8 times out of 10 I've driven by and all the pumps are occupied! It's also right off a major highway exit, including the CCRI Lincoln Campus, Davies, and that God Awful MacColl YMCA. It's kind of convenient but the price for gas is on the higher side with other stations nearby usually being a few cents cheaper. I honestly do not understand why this station is always so busy! It's like they never have downtime!

Lil General is so much more than just a convenient store. They've got a full delivery service, a…read morereal butchery, and fresh food every day. What really makes them stand out are their weekly specials--especially the Tuesday meatball subs. These subs are made fresh right in front of you, loaded with flavor, and the price is unbeatable. Honestly, they're some of the best I've ever had. Between the affordability, quality, and friendly service, this place has become a go-to spot. If you haven't tried Lil General yet, do yourself a favor and stop in--or better yet, go on a Tuesday and grab a meatball sub. You won't be disappointed!

I wanna like this place, but there was just too much "this would be great BUT..."…read more When I went into the store there was a woman getting something from the deli (pasta salad or something). When she was done I went and asked if they make sandwiches to order. The guy working said "no, we make all of our sandwiches fresh each morning and they're in the case by the door." He wasn't rude, but it seemed odd that they wouldn't sell me a custom sandwich. Here's my first complaint: all the sandwiches were on little foam trays and covered in plastic (like a piece of steak would come on at a grocery store), I don't know if this is how they always do it, but it's a bad idea: all of the sandwiches were squished flat because of how tight the plastic was (and also probably because they stack them up). I'm no elitist, I'm not a fancy guy, but presentation is half the battle and these sandwiches were not appetizing. What's wrong with just rolling your subs in deli paper? I swallowed my pride and grabbed the least flattened turkey sub, along with a bag of chips and a drink. The cashier girl was polite and asked me if I wanted any condiments for the sub, which I did. When I got home and began eating my sub I discovered it already had mayonnaise on it, which I don't like. And it wasn't listed on the label with the ingredients. Which is exactly why I would've ordered a sandwich from the deli, not because I think the ones in the case aren't fresh, but because they looked awful, and now to me it tasted awful. The turkey too was really crumbly... it didn't look like a turkey sub, it looked like a tuna sub. I'm giving 3 stars because the cashier was friendly and the subs ARE cheap, it was less than $4 for a 6" sub. But you know what? Charge me $5 or $6 and make it look (and taste) worth eating. This is one of those places where some things are ridiculously cheap (like the subs) and other items are more than they would be at Cumberland Farms or 7-11.

Li'l General - Very sketchy business. They charge you a card fee without letting you know.

I often ride my motorcycle to Connecticut, since Rhode Island is so small and the condition of the roads pales in comparison to Connecticut. I've stopped here for drinks and gas either on my way out, or on my way home. They have Mobil gasoline, plus separate diesel and kerosene pumps on the left side of the store. There a decent selection of drinks and snacks, and the store seems pretty clean, well-stocked and well-organized. While there is a customer bathroom, it is actually a porta-potti outdoors, behind the building, so it's like roughing it for people who might be more sensitive to those sort of things (although it beats going in the woods). Be careful pulling out (especially if you're on a motorcycle), since it's at the top of a hill, cars travel pretty fast and you can only see so far out before a car pops over the crest of the hill. One time a few years ago - I will never forget - I was coming back from a motorcycle ride in Connecticut, where I had gotten caught in heavy rain. It was either dusk or dark, but anyway, I went inside to prepay for my gas. There was a customer ahead of me, but the cashier was extremely chatty with this customer, so much so that a puddle of water formed on the floor beneath me while I waited.
