I am writing to express my concern about a recent experience my friend and I had at your store.
During our first visit, we were confronted for simply looking at the alcohol section. An employee loudly asked, "Are you 21?" in an accusatory manner, despite the fact that both of us are indeed 21 years old. The interaction felt unnecessarily aggressive and disrespectful. The following day, we returned to the store and encountered further discomfort. One of the employees at the front stared at us in a way that made us feel very uneasy. Meanwhile, other staff members were speaking in a language we didn't understand and appeared to be discussing us. One of them followed us to the back of the store where the drinks are located, pretending to clean but clearly observing us. It was unsettling and made us feel unwelcome. We had also noticed that the Big Red soda had no color and that other drinks seemed watered down. When I attempted to bring this to the attention of the employee, he took the cup from my hand and told me, "Just don't get the drinks anymore," in a dismissive tone. Finally, as we were leaving, the employee at the front raised his voice and publicly asked, "Do you want me to call the police?" in front of a line of other customers. This was completely unnecessary and humiliating. We felt disrespected, profiled, and mistreated throughout these interactions. I hope this message brings attention to how customers are being treated, and I respectfully request that appropriate steps be taken to ensure this doesn't happen to others in the future. read more
