I've been a loyal 7-Eleven customer for years, but this location left me shocked. I poured out a cup of coffee that tasted spoiled, and a female employee immediately started yelling at me, insisting I pay for it and scolding me for using the overflow area. Her attitude was rude, disrespectful, and completely uncalled for. Even while I was paying for "two" coffees, she continued making comments. Absolutely unacceptable customer service. The store was unclean. It had a very nasty smell. The customer service was horrible. Very disrespectful not pleasant at all I saw someone preparing food without gloves on I saw a gentleman with no gloves remove garbage bags from a garbage can with no gloves then proceed to prepare the coffee, it seems that it is normal for them to handle and prepare food without gloves. I saw this several times and when you say it to them, they get very rude and basically if you're not the customer that you're dealing with, they like tell you to mind your business it's so bad I live 2 min away and I go 10 min away just to avoid the horrible experience I had everytime I went in there and today was the day o truly realized why I NEVER go there I stopped for gas and witnessed the or employee verbally abusing a customer. I have been coming here for about 6 months now. For some reason I keep seeing a lot of customers that are downright obnoxious and rude. But the professionalism of the staff has been incredible. I am writing this because I know what I have personally seen. I never saw the racism that is described in the reviews. On every occasion I witnessed, the staff never reacted in any inappropriate way and just let the person rant away. Unfortunately the people I witnessed were all African American which only applies to what I personally saw. I am sure they have had other unhappy customers from all nationalities and backgrounds but it is only appropriate to speak of my personal experience. One man for example ordered a sandwich loaded with meat, she brings the sandwich to him and he said he didn't want it. The man attendant simply asked him to leave the property and not come back. He stayed in the parking lot speaking to other people. He left when I was leaving. Last week a woman had a slew of lottery tickets, then takes the scanner and tells the same attendant the the woman waiting on her couldn't do it right. Today, a young man parked before I did, he walked in after me, saw me standing at the counter, went to the next register and go waited on. For the record only I happen to be caucasian. I chose to say nothing and wait to be waited on. The place is kept extremely clean, and I have been there when someone cleans up the floor, including losing lottery tickets discarded by patrons. I wasn't going to write a review because I'm starting to get used to discrimination in the state of Connecticut since moving here. However, my very impressionable daughters made a comment about it. So now that I know they've been psychologically affected by it, I am writing this review as well as reporting this franchise to the Better Business Bureau. I came in and bought my children donuts and slurpees after school today because they'd been asking for it all week. They're all honor students, and they deserve a treat once in a while. The (what looked like to be) manager or owner was very nice and engaged with my children. However after what happened with two of his cashiers, I don't know if I should take that as good customer service skills, or him just coming over to keep a watchful eye while I got the slurpees for myself and my children. When I went to the register, I had 5 slurpees and 4 donuts. There were some toy cars on display across from the register that my son was playing with. I took the toy car from him, put it back, and proceeded to the register. The cashier rang me up and then stood there, so I told her I'm paying with debit. She then asked to scan "the toy." So I looked to see if any of my children had anything, because sometimes as children they will pick something up and I have to tell them to put it back. Upon review, she realized none of my children did, in fact, have anything. Said cashier walked away, and another cashier came over to finish my transaction for some reason. So when I went to pay, I checked the screen, and she charged me for 5 donuts and 5 slurpees. I said to the new cashier that I only had 4 donuts. The bag of donuts were right in front of her on the counter. She checked the bag about 3 times. So much in fact that a donut almost fell out onto the counter. That is when I became very upset. I wanted to leave everything and say forget it, but then I would've disappointed my children. Now that I know they noticed the deliberate discrimination, I wish I had just left. I will never be returning to this location, looking at the reviews of other customers complaining of discrimination, and the demographics of the neighborhood this franchise is located, they need to be shut down or taken under new management. PRICE GOUGERS!! Don't buy store items from here Almost everything rings up way higher than the shelf price, and they never honor the shelf price which they are supposed to. They gouge you for way higher prices and then play dumb that they don't know how to adjust it, but if something rings up lower you can bet your @$$ they know how to adjust the price then. Example a box of Ritz crackers shelf prince $ 4.59 rang up for $5.79 and they claimed they didn't know how to fix it yet the person in front of me bought some pastry that rang up for . 30 less and guess what they sure knew how to fix the price for that. read more

I shouldn't even be able to choose one star. The employees were extremely rude and miserable at this establishment. The woman working got very angry over me making an iced coffee instead of a hot one and told me I was making it incorrectly and the splash of coffee in the counter was a mess. When I tasted it and realized the half and half was old and cheesy, I went to switch it to something with a different milk. She got the manager out from the back and told me I did not use the half and half I used and that I used a caramel creamer that I had previously asked about and was told it was empty and they couldn't get me anymore. They were rude through and through and would not let me exchange and make a new coffee after claiming I never used half and half and no one else complains. read more

Stumbling across this review probably wondering why a gas station should have 5 stars. Well buckle up buckaroo because you're in for a treat. Whom ever owns this 7-Eleven should be very happy with their staff and the cleanliness of the convenience store. It is ALWAYS clean. 10pm stop for random chips and drink.. clean.. 6am stop for morning fuel (car and myself).. clean. Staff is friendly and is always welcoming. And says more than "is that it".. treats me like a human. Gasp.. what a concept. Kudos to the staff.. not always easy to leave an impression for a simple gas station transaction. Also need to mention the selection of hate your self foods is amazing and always stocked. So don't judge this 7-Eleven by its location. Go inside and get a slush and 17 other things you weren't intending on buying.. it's worth it. read more
