I live a couple blocks away from this 7 eleven and for the last 2 months I have walked to this 7 eleven around midnight and they have had a hand written sign on the door stating they are closed (different reason every night from short staffed to whatever (there is always more then one peESPN working) they stayed closed for about 2 hours EVERYNIGHT. I've never known a 7 eleven to close their doors like this. I bet the people who own this store are not aware of this. they have to be losing a shit ton of money. I just went in to this 7-11 to get some snacks. I was excited and having a great day so I threw my arms up as I entered and said "yes the snack store"! As I entered two men left and one of them looked like he stole something. The employees yelled at them and the employee named "Carroz" said to me "you have to pay for that. Next time you want to buy something you pay 2.50 extra". He was serious and I said "I did not know those men,and I had come here to buy snacks". He said "you had your arms up" and I said yeah because I was excited to be in the store to get snacks. He later said he was joking and he laughed at me in a rude way chuckling as I was very upset at this random accusation. A customer chimed in "it was funny "Carroz". And another cashier told me it was funny and that I needed to calm down and he rolled his eyes at me. I said "no it was not funny,I didn't know those men. I got video of them being more and more rude and the second cashier cursed at me on my way out of the store. This was ridiculous,I was having such a good day and then I went to 7-11, usually a great place to pick up snacks and sodas,but today was horrible. The number seven didn't turn out to be so lucky for this particular 7-11 location. How the mighty have fallen...after being chosen to be converted into a Kwik-E-Mart for a nationwide promotion for the Simpsons movie in the summer of '07, this vendor should be raising the bar for 7-11s everywhere! Instead, today I saw it for what it is: a busy location with subpar customer service. What I wouldn't give to bring Apu back! Like all the stores I visited for my 7/11 adventure in West Denver, this, the 7th store on my journey, was graded on five factors: Gas Price, Slurpee Flavors, Business Flow, Customer Service and Location (with special attention to the last two). A gallon of unleaded gasoline was $2.49 at this store, which proved to be the high for the day, tied with several other area stores. Slurpee Flavors of the day included: Crystal Light Wild Strawberry, Wild Cherry, Banana, Mountain Dew, Coke, and the promotional Liquid Artillery Blue Raspberry flavor. Having put off my favorite flavors in the interest in experimentation at previous stores, I decided to give in and try out their Coke flavor. Pure liquid came out of the nozzle, and EVERY OTHER NOZZLE. Isn't the whole appeal of Slurpees supposed to be their icy nature? Strike one, 3rd and Broadway. Since all the Slurpees I'd consumed in the last hour were quickly accumluating in my bladder, I asked the attendant (manager?) if I could use the key to their bathroom. After he pointed to the plunger handle sitting on top of a nearby trashcan, I opened the door and braved the convenience store wash closet. Although by no means insufferable, the toilet wasn't clean, and it looked as if the floor hadn't been mopped in several days. I know this is a busy day for you guys, but with three attendants on hand, can't one of you swing a mop for a minute, especially on one of your busiest days of the year? Strike two. The final strike came in the form of poor customer service on the way out of the store. On my way out the door, I thanked the workers for their bathroom and watery attempt at a Slurpee. With no one making purchases at the counter, I figured somebdoy would at least offer up a 'you're welcome' for my patronage...but no dice. Two attendants kept chatting it up, not acknowledging my presence whatsoever. I know it's a thankless job being a gas station attendant, but when one of your customers actually bothers to shout 'Thanks very much!' on his way out, and you can't even be bothered to look twice? You just struck out, gang. The one thing this store has going for it is a whopping eight (I think) fuel-ups out front, and plenty of parking. But with Slurpees, bathrooms, and attendants this poor, I think I'll be heading down to the friendlier location over at 8th and Lincoln, instead. At least they smiled at me. read more

Was at the 711 on 290 S Pierce St. Store #39767. The worst experience I have ever had at a 711. Every other time I have been at this location it has been an excellent experience, but not today. The cashier waiting on customers was so rude and did not know what she was doing. The customer in front of me wanted $20 in gas and pumped over 20 was asking her how it was possible for him to go over the 20 she accused him of yelling at her and being rude which he was not after I said he is not yelling she starts to yell at both of us and told us we can just wait on ourselves with a cuss word attached. She goes into the back comes out about 3 minutes later and starts yelling again the manager had to get in front of her to keep her back. This is the short version of what happened. I think her name was Alysa not sure she took off her name tag when we asked for her name. I hope someone higher up in 711 corporate takes a look at the video of this cashiers behavior so inappropriate. read more

Unfortunately, aside from the Kwik-E-Mart facade and plastic Simpson characters placed about, my visit found virtually no trace of the Krusty- O Cereal, Buzz Cola, or Radioactive Man comic book that were supposed to be for sale here. You CAN still buy a Squishee, though. Hopefully, they'll restock some of the Simpsons items before the release of the much-awaited Simpsons Movie on the 27th of this month. I literally just watched a clerk who wasn't wearing a mask, kick someone out of the store for not wearing a mask. How does that make sense? The other clerk had a mask on her mouth, not her nose. How does that make sense? Not that I care about people wearing masks, but at the least don't be hypocrites. I had one woman clerk tell me my service dog had to leave because he barked. Do not visit this store. The entire staff including the manager are unbelievably lazy. They refuse to allow access to their restroom facilities because of the homeless problem in Denver. The manager informed me that the staff refused to clean the restroom after the homeless population, and recently an employee informed me that the law doesn't require them to provide a restroom. I utilize this 7-Eleven around 10 times per week. 90% of the staff is above and beyond any expectations. Kind, always on the ball, and FAST. Location often goes from having one patron, to getting slammed with a line out to the Big Gulp fountain, and even so, have never had to wait more than a couple mins (even when the Powerball was over a $Billion). They lost a 2-Stars, for 2-Reasons, i.e. 2-Staff Members. ***Reasoning: Employee #1) A fairly new edition, this young lady couldn't have began more than a month or 2 ago. As I said, I make purchases from this location 1-2 times daily, and when I tried to begin a friendly exchange while introducing myself, she looked at me as if I was a Roman-Serf, and she was a Caesar. Oh well... I'm used to it, unfortunately (I am the gentleman with glasses and the large blue pack, overflowing with items that can leave the assumer thinking I am a druggie/drunkard homeless guy; but I'm the reason you're told not to assume. I do not even smoke cigarettes, let alone drink or do drugs (ever), and may possibly the only homeless guy in Denver with a graduate degree). Okay, well the refusal to engage in conversation is one thing, but her following actions were offensive, presumptuous, and downright uncalled for. I went on to make the same purchases I make everyday (can live without my BigGulp of Gatorade), under the close scrutiny of not just this woman, but she also enlisted the new employee to "go wipe off the counter next to me" and watch to make sure I did not steal anything. (Fun Fact: I have never stolen a single thing in my entire life). Everyone around me knew what was going on, and it was very embarrassing. I went to the counter to pay, and of course she tried to make me pay for the "Cup-O-Noodles" that was inside a HUGE WHITE BAG THAT READ "WALGREENS - The place that doesn't charge 99¢ for a 30¢ Ramen Noodle", that included receipts. Because she was surely thinking that I probably stole it because, "How dare he claim that my assumption was incorrect... He's homeless, he has to be dumber than I," she made an annoying sigh and let me leave. I hate my soup, and saw a fellow nomad who I had gotten food days before. I asked, "if you have a couple bucks, can you grab me another cup-o-noodles? I'm still hungry." He obliged. I reminded him to get a receipt, because I had 100% confidence that she would again assume that I stole it. I walk in with the item in my hand, I hold it up high, and walk to the coffee area where the hot water is. Again, she sent her underling to maintain the spotless area while I occupied it, and she just GLARED at me for the entire "meal preparation". When done, I began walking out, and immediate when I passed the counter, "So you aren't gonna pay for this one either?" (I hate being right all the time...) After receipts and whatnot, she was angry that a homeless person was accusing her of unfair business practices, bias judgement, and discriminatory assumptions of being a thief. "I know you must think all homeless people are mentally handicapped, evil, smelly, druggies that steal, but you can't just accuse people of stealing whenever you want, businesses are sued for that kind of thing. You are the only person at this location to treat me this way, and you are a disgrace. I need your name." Would not give name. "You need to leave now sir, if you don't I'm calling the cops." I laughed. She had to be joking. "You aren't serious..." "I sure am. You ate that soup in the parking lot, and that was over 10 mins ago. You are loitering, and you need to leave" Mind. Blown. If that person worked for me, they would be fired INSTANTLY for treating anyone that way. 2) I guess this guy has been there forever, but was in jail for a while, which is why he didn't know me as well as all they other employees. Well I came in and purchased some items (some candy and my BigGulp orange Gatorade), and needed to use the restroom. A man went in as I was headed there, so I had to wait. That guy ended up taking nearly 20 minutes. Oh well, as a Nomad, privacy and bathroom time are fairytales, so I didn't think anything of it. It takes me 2 minutes just to clean the seat from fatty's brown carpet bombing. I sit down, and... BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG (5) "You need to get out, NOW. There's 3 people waiting, you're times up." I can't finish this, it's making me extremely angry just remembering it. Basically said, "You're out of line, bro. [Exited Restroom] I was waiting for 20 [expletive] minutes for the fatty before me to sh!t and take a shower in there, and you not only ask me to leave after 2 minutes, but you scream, pound on the door like a cop, and demand I leave of get the cops called on me? You don't [expletive] treat PAYING CUSTOMERS (let alone ones as loyal as me) like that and embarrass them." "[sentence showing that even though he is wrong, I can't be right, so **** me."
