Every pump advertises products they don't stock.

This... this is a rough spot to stop for gas. I think the only thing keeping them open is probably the convenience of the location, right near where Broadway is crossed by 8th Avenue which is the major thoroughfare that will take you to Highway 6 through the middle of Denver. But it's not really a great place to stop. Gas isn't exorbitantly priced, and you can get in and out fairly quickly, but that's where the positive features begin and end. The parking lot is frequented by panhandlers and vagrants with, to my experience, no moderation or concern from the staff within. It's in the heart of Denver far from major tourist concerns like the 16th Street Mall, so it's not reasonable to expect a lack of loiterers of potentially any persuasion, but this location is particularly bad. The staff aren't friendly or very professional, they can't accept large bills (possibly for fear of having too much cash on hand in full view of the 'colorful' visitors to the parking lot), the roller grill is seldom stocked very well if at all, and the specials listed on the tags that adorn each gas pump may or may not be available because this location simply doesn't stock that product. At all. The photo I snapped of their special for several beer varieties lists several they don't actually even have a place for in their cold case. If you're on your way to 6th, give this location a pass, follow 8th over to Kalamath, and stop at the 7-11 on the west side of the road. It's cleaner, has a better selection, and there are less worrisome people around. It's by no means a great station to stop at overall, but it's a sight better than this.

Great convenient location. Prices as always are incredible. The staff however, has some improvements they could make.

Store number 9 on my quest (having missed the well-hidden franchise on Arapahoe), my visit to this…read more7-11 marked a 'second wind' for your humble narrator. The polite staff, spacious parking lot and close proximity to my house made this a corner store to remember. Like every 7-11 I visited on this July 11th, I assessed this store on five qualities: Gas Price, Slurpee Flavors, Business Flow, Customer Service and Location. Although none of them were exceptional here, this store provided all five in ample quantity, making it a high point at the end of a long 90 minute journey. First of all, gas prices tied for the day's low, at $2.39 for a gallon of regular unleaded. There were plenty of pumps available in the front of the store, and additional customer parking aplenty. An RTD stop on 38th Ave right outside the store is a nice touch, too. Off to a good start. Today's Slurpee flavors at 38th and Alcott were: Banana, Pina Colada, Coke, Wild Cherry, Crystal Light Apple Mango, and the promotional Liquid Artillery flavor. "You've put it off this long," I told myself as I surveyed the whirring Slurpee machines, "you might as well get some soda." Adding to my Coke binge, I noted that the staff was quiet but kind, and smart enough to tape up signs and sample cups so customers would know which cups were the free ones. Way to look out for the patrons, guys! That's staying on top of things. The store wasn't too busy, and I was on my way out in a minute, onto the next final 7-11... The location isn't prime, and it is in direct competition with the nearby store at 38th and Irving (which I've frequented before), but otherwise, this visit proved to be one of the best of the day.
