On a recent run down I-65, I found myself in need of a proper coffee fix. Lucky for me, a 7 Brew appeared like a beacon of caffeine-fueled hope--and I knew exactly what needed to happen next.
I've been consistently impressed by the speed at other 7 Brew locations, and this one kept the streak alive--even though it had only been open for about two weeks when I visited. That's no small feat. Organized chaos is clearly part of the brand.
The setup is simple and efficient: two drive-thru lines, with a staff member walking up to your car to take your order on a tablet. Signing up for their loyalty program is ridiculously easy--just give them your phone number and boom, you're earning points before your engine cools down.
Now let's talk about the menu... because "big" doesn't quite cover it. It looks manageable when you scan the QR code in line, but don't be fooled--there's an entire caffeine multiverse hiding behind that screen. And yes, there's a "Secret Menu" that's about as secret as a marching band. You'll want to check that out online before you roll up.
Once you order and pay (card, tap, whatever your style), you pull forward to the next station. From there, it's a short wait--and by "short," I mean I've never waited more than about three minutes for my drink. That's borderline magical in coffee time.
The staff deserves a shoutout. These folks are dialed in. Everyone seemed upbeat, engaged, and genuinely happy to be there--which is not something you can fake in a fast-paced drive-thru environment. Between the order-takers and the 6-8 people hustling behind the scenes making drinks and running them out, the whole operation hums like a well-tuned engine.
And yes--I freaking love 7 Brew. So much so that I've dramatically reduced visits to that other coffee chain... you know, the one that's very committed to the color green.
