Twice got coffee that was very weak. Employees are friendly and engaging but disappointed with the lack of actual coffee taste.

These goods are so cray, they're loco with a K!…read more This little slice of frozen heaven was the perfect way to break up the monotony of a day spent sitting around an airbnb, playing bored -- I mean, board -- games. We needed sugar, the place popped up on my app, ten minutes away, we said What the hey. Walking in, I was kinda speechless: horchata and aguas frescas, ice cream, paletas. Wait, is that crepe cookware I see over there? Indeed. And nachos and Mexican candies and and and... The kid got an ice cream cone (two scoops, thanks Dad! That's why I ask you, first) and Laura scored a Nutella crepe with fresh strawberries. Me? You know Howie do it... My Chamango, featuring (of course) the basic starters of mango and chamoy, was salvation and a wild friggin' ride of flavor and texture, highly recommended. I had one little plastic spoon and some serious chewing to do, with foreign nugs of red, orange and brown I-had-no-idea to sink my teeth into and let me just say that often my teeth literally did sink, and then stuck together, for quite some time. Peanuts, tajín, salt, dehydrated lime and sweet sticky sugar for days, with a splash of fresh fruit. YASSSSS.

This was probably one of my favorite places we visited while in Santa Fe. The cold brew was…read moreflavorful, strong, and not overly dark. Exactly how I like it! To eat, I ordered the Ham, Fig, and Brie sandwich, and it was delicious. It had just the right amount of meat, cheese, and fig spread, all held together by a crisp French baguette and grilled just enough to warm everything through and soften the cheese. The side of "mixed greens," however, was comically small (see photo). My wife ordered the Avocado Chicken Caesar with kale and cucumber. She said it was very tasty; with a great mix of ingredients and a dressing she really enjoyed. The only downside was that the chicken could have used a bit more flavor. The staff was friendly and efficient, getting our food out quickly despite being busy. We especially enjoyed sitting outside in the courtyard/alleyway area, which had a nice atmosphere, though our table was unfortunately very sticky.

This is a great place to stop for lunch, a snack, or an iced coffee or matcha latte on a hot day…read more It was also recommended to us by a local working at another shop in town. There is plenty of seating in the room next door, and it appears they may be expanding that room. In the main room, you walk up to the counter and order, then your food is brought out to you. We got sandwiches and bowls and the food was great. Fresh and healthy. I also got some kind of maple cream cold brew; I did have to ask for more maple flavor because I wanted my drink a bit sweeter, and the barista graciously added it without charging extra. They seemed to have interesting pastries and bagels, and the shop is also a market with fancy snacks and other provisions. I was tempted to take home a unique chocolate bar or jam, or something savory like a wacky bag of popcorn, but we were maxed out on snacks at our Airbnb, so I refrained. They had a wide selection of this kind of stuff. All in all, it was the perfect spot to grab lunch in the late afternoon while cruising around the Plaza on a hot day. The service was friendly, and so were the other customers!

I smelled the smoker for most of the day as I was staying down the street. Two of the chefs were…read moreoutside tending the smoker when we arrived. I got some solid advice, 'order what ever comes out of this'. They were right, burnt ends and pork belly were amazing. Distinctive flavor, but delicate. Perfect medium rare steak, I mean perfect. We also had the caesar salad. Also remarkable. The only thing we did wrong was not order 2 salads for the 3 of us to share. The grilled corn was really amazing, I've been thinking about it for days. It has the signature red sauce, somewhere between a Mole and a chili sauce, woody, spicy with a citrus note. Our young one ordered the chicken pasta and said it had too much lemon. I thought it was good, but not as good as the smoker items and steak. The staff was totally top notch and they looked like they were having a good time in the show kitchen. I will come back for sure and stay in Arroyo Seco.

During our stay in Taos in September, we discovered this little gem after visiting Ski Taos Resort…read more The place is super cute with a great vibe and they had live music during the late morning. The menu is incredible, very creative with vegan and vegetarian options. However if you are very hungry or in a hurry I would not recommend it. The service is very sloooow. I visited with my son and wife. I ordered 'Papas con Chile', my wife @/ Sequeña Croissant and my son a panini sandwich. My son had one of their Superfood Smoothies and my wife and I Americano coffee. At the end of our brunch we had some pastries out of this world. Next to the Cafe, they have a small food market with a great selection.
