I enjoyed everything I tried and actually bought a bottle of each. Also, had a nice little buzz after I left the store. If you ask the gentleman behind the counter for his advice on a wine selection, he is quite knowledgeable and has very good suggestions which haven't steered me wrong when taking his suggestions to parties. The store has a lot of budget options to choose from which is great! Its not a huge store so it seems they are selective, the budget options they carry are actually good quality! I showed it to the guy behind the counter and he immediately was able to show me where they were located. I was very impressed! If I ever need to buy alcohol again, I'll most likely come back here.

The process has been simple: I call ahead of time and if they have what I want, it'll be waiting for me when I get there. I pay for the beer and they help me load it in the vehicle and I'm off. Tri-Boro is located in Astoria, along the BQE highway and in a semi-rural location of the hood. The setup almost looks like a gas station, except the place is loaded full of craft beers. There no doubt they have some of the best selection in the borough, if not the city. They have had a lot of popular brands as well as some obscure ones, many of which are not local to the NYC. They have beer via bottles / packages, as well as via kegs. Their prices are pretty good for what they have and ordering can actually be done online. Many of the kegs range from $150-300 and the staff is pretty good about helping folks get it setup properly. The only thing they don't have is a lot of international beers. I've had to look in other places for more bulk type stuff, but when it comes to craft beer, Tri-Boro is as reliable as they come.

There is a lot of liquor stores in the area, but this is my favorite one! The staff is friendly and helpful, not pushy at all. Sometimes I need more time to decide what I want and nobody bothers me. I really appreciate that. In January it was my dad's birthday. I had no idea what to buy for him. I came here and ask if they have gift cards. My dad is really picky with the wine he drinks, so didn't wanna take a risk. Unfortunately they said no. I was about to leave when the lady stopped me and said that we can work something out. She said that she can give me the business card with her signature and the amount I wanna give and that will work as a gift card. I was worried that my dad may have problems using it but she told me that she is the owner and assured me there will be no problems. And there wasn't. They really care about their customers and that's another reason why I like to come here.

For that, I have to detract a star, but even so this is a pretty quality operation that merits a look. The store seems small, but the layout is conducive to the stellar selection of wine and spirits. Furthermore the place is clean and doesn't have that musty odor that many liquor stores tend to have. Those spots smell like unkept basements, while this place could be someone's home. They have a really awesome selection of wines and quality imports such as a decent soju and sake collection. I also appreciate their line of spirits and how organized everything seems to be. For collectors or gift givers, they have some really neat high end versions of various spirits which come in specialized boxes / collection / kits, etc. The prices are as good as the selection. Not too expensive and certainly affordable considering this place has a loyalty system (points per purchase) that can be redeemed after buying a certain amount of bottles. in terms the overall package, Muho is one of the better liquor stores in the neighborhood.

It seems crazy to think a place this small really has it all, but this biz is certainly A+ all the way. For starters, the store is immaculate. You know that weird odor when a room smells like an attic / basement that a lot of other liquor stores have? Not here. Secondly, the prices are solid. I tend to buy a lot of liquor in general and have noticed Jin Bros are usually just right price wise. They're not exceptionally cheap per se, but they're not exorbitantly expensive either. Another bonus? They take Android / Apple Pay here! Finally, what is a business without quality customer service? If I call ahead of time, I get someone professional, polite, and patient on the phone. What reay shocked me was that the only other customers were some 15 year old looking girls who the owner was aggressively harassing. The owner put his hands on one of the teens and when she tried to back away, he shoved her into the counter. I was utterly appalled, phoning the police immediately after as the girls left.
