From giving me pointers and tips to some discounts and making connections to having anything and everything behind a paywall. These guys don't actually care about the customer anymore and it's a shame. I went in today to warranty my subs but before I did I called like any reasonable person would. They tried to schedule me for a meet and I would be out of a vehicle for just a warranty check up. Which stated in the website of custom sounds it says " immediate replacement or repair" for the warranty. So instead I came in and behold they got me in. Now keep in mind I came in with a blown subwoofer. At the start they said I had no power no nothing. Then I pressed them about it. Magically it starts to work. Then magically my output wasn't working. So I went Checked it myself and found my cables I have connected to my back sub for an RCA was pull out of the lining I stashed it in. They went all up and down about how my Amp was blown and my subs were okay and how the voltage on the subs were good and the amp were bad ect. I'm not an amateur I checked them myself before coming in. So played along and said I might consider the amp but kept pressing them about the situation and how weird it all was to me. They wouldn't honor my warranty and instead tried to sell me on a new 300$ amp a diagnostic fee 150$ and an instal 100 or so $. I've already spent 1300-1400 on the set up itself like I always do. I'm not spending anymore or losing anytime with my daily. I honestly am disappointed in the situation. I tried asking the tech certain questions like usually have in the past and he kept telling me he can't know unless he runs a " diagnosis" meaning he doesn't give a Fuck unless he gets paid which I get to an extent. But when i left my subs were moving again still blown even tho they told me otherwise and my amp was running a steady Voltage and my subs weren't. I was going so crazy about this situation I went and bought a NEW Multi reader to make sure mine wasn't broken and got the same results I got before I went in and they weren't the same screwed versions of what they told me. That'll be the last and very last day I'll ever come back to custom sounds unless they honor my warranty and replace my subs like I've asked. And maybe I am wrong and it's all true but even then don't come to me saying this that and this is broken when I check and fix what they either accidentally didn't put back or on purpose regardless don't come to your customers with a bunch of fixable nonsense and keep it real instead of trying to sell everything under the sun to fill your flat rate pay.

I called on 07/18 to book an appointment for window tinting on 09/24,. The booking process was…read moresuper easy, I put down what I thought was a $100 down payment towards the work to secure my appointment however it wasn't until I needed to cancel my appointment which was still over a month away that I was informed that the $100 charge was non-refundable. When I explained to Hailey that I was not informed this at the time of booking she informed me, "I see you accepted the calendar invite which clearly states this" Keep in mind the calendar invite was sent AFTER I was charged. So nice of them to inform me after they charge me that the fee is non-refundable. When I explained this to her she told me that when she was hired that her boss made it clear that booking fees are so they do not lose money, I could easily understand this if I was cancelling without enough notice for them to schedule another appointment or if this was made clear before they decided to charge me. Needless to say I am out $100, so be advised when booking anything here.

Unfortunately, I did not have a good experience with Brandon/Top Notch...for multiple reasons. He…read moretinted my windows on my new car and not only did it take twice as long as he quoted me, but the job was done poorly in a few spots. The tint wasn't fit properly to the window so I had to take it back to get fixed, and again, it took over twice as long to do the work as I was told it would take. But that isn't even the worst of it....Brandon also apparently does various custom work to cars so I decided to have him black out my tail lights. He told me it would take him a little over an hour and he could do it when he fixed my tint. Four hours into the appointment I called him to see what was going on and why it was taking so long, at which time he told me the film they used "didn't look right" (defective apparently) so they took it off and he sent one of his guys into St. Louis to pick up some different film. Two hours later he calls me to tell me they can't do the job because all of the film is defective, but he'll order more and can do the job in a week. Six hours of my time, wasted. So I wait two weeks and never hear from him so I call him...repeatedly...he does not answer my calls OR call me back. I drive by his location fairly often so one day when I was driving by I saw him standing outside talking with a customer, so I pull into the parking lot and of course ask him why he's not returning my phone calls, and ask about the film. He proceeds to give me some runaround, saying that his phones have been down and he did not receive any of my messages. He also tells me that the film is back ordered and he should have it within the next week or so, at which time he tells me he will call me when it comes in and if I don't hear from him, to call him and he will finally get this job done. You can guess what happens next...I call, and call...and call and NO response. He completely ghosted me. To do this to me after wasting my time on multiple occasions is horribly unprofessional and, quite frankly, rude. I've literally waited over six months to write this review in the hopes that he would come around and follow through...but I guess those pesky phones are still down.

I paid $625 for ceramic tint on my brand-new Ford Explorer. The first time I went to pick it up,…read morethere was a hair (or something similar) stuck in the driver's side tint. The lady took it back to be redone, but when I got the car home, I noticed problems on multiple windows. Update 2 - I went back for a second redo, this time on the front driver/passenger windows, rear trunk glass, and rear quarter windows. When I picked it up, I saw that the defrost lines on my rear glass had been scraped off. I was told it was "just bubbles" and they would go away, but if you search "broken defrost lines from window tint," you'll see exactly what mine looked like. I pointed this out immediately, but the staff brushed it off and told me to call them in a week if it was still an issue. It was very obvious, and I asked them to take pictures, but the lady didn't seem to care. They told me they had "gone over it thoroughly" this time, but clearly not thoroughly enough if no one noticed the missing defrost lines. After going back and forth, I ended up scheduling a replacement rear glass and re-tint. Update 3 - On my third visit, they replaced the trunk glass. I brought it home, only to find the trim on my right rear door was now cut up. Completely unacceptable, especially on a brand-new vehicle. At this point, after three visits and being told that multiple people including the managers "went over it with a fine-tooth comb," the workmanship is still sloppy. This is not the quality of work you'd expect for $625. If you're reading this, save yourself the trouble and go somewhere else for tinting. There's no excuse for this kind of job on a new car.
