I have plenty of Gillette razors and Wilkinson Sword and I really can't be bothered with those joyless electric contraptions. The prices here are pretty fair and occasionally they sometimes do special deals. I don't use it as a chemist just grooming. The staff are charming. Curiosity made me try Harry's razors which didn't really impress me but more recently I spotted Bulldog razors with a bamboo handle: darn good razor and a strong ethical sense so it's 4 green stars. Boots is now owned by Walgreens who tried to flog it for £7 billion last January (2022) but nobody wanted to bite but the main money men and women want a re focus on the USA and are once again pushing Walgreens to spin off its international operations as soon as possible, as they say Boots and other operations in Europe are a "distraction." This distraction employs 53,000 folks in UK and Ireland. If it goes back on the market the British based Issa brothers might just open the cheque book this time round.

Once, Tavey's was an excellent store to gain some mid-end items (nothing too luxurious, but decent…read moreenough stuff). However, recently I have had experiences which indicated the complete ineptitude of the staff and management within the store. What's quite clear is that management - I'm guessing their management as they stand at the back with their arms crossed looking somewhat official - are neither personable nor empathetic. One guy stands there crossing his hands as if the world hurts him that much that he hates all fellow humans. Again an ego thing more than likely. Another manger - have no idea who he his - waltz's about like a moron chatting away as if one (the customer) is an idiot. The other guys in the store are grand - guessing the weekend workers. Nice and cheerful lads. But the others make shopping here an absolute hell. Once an avid shopper - now I'll never grace the door again. Mainly for the fear of meeting the two smug managers/supervisors I met in there on the last occasion. Do yourself a favour - go elsewhere. Tavey's also has excellent sales on all the time. But their not good sales. Everything in the store is overpriced and then your given a mate rates price. We're not that stupid... The clothes are also becoming of sub-par. Wake up - quality comes at a price - offer some decent stuff - with decent service.

This is my first and last time in Dungannon town centre. When I parked up in the town square a…read morefriendly local told me I'd an hour free and to watch for the traffic warden. I quickly learned that it would be impossible for me to spend an hour in Dungannon town centre as there's nothing at all to encourage me to do so. This is a one horse town where even the horse left and likely a long time ago. The staff in this store were a friendly bunch of folks and this town centre store is deceptively large, despite the narrow front door. Like most places now there's ample hand sanitizer and the floor is marked out to show two metre markings. There's protective Perspex between staff and customers. I just wanted the luxury of a new razor and I had ample choice - Gillette and Wilkinson Sword seem to still have the market well sewn up and I opted for the former. I took a walk around the centre and only two things were noteworthy - the smell of good coffee from a Bob & Bert's and the worst cakes and pastries I've had the misfortune to see in an alleged home bakery a few doors down. This is amongst the worst food I've seen in many years - full of cheap sugar, cheap margarines and who knows what else. Thanks but no thanks Dungannon.

We are entitled to free flu and covid jabs. In my case I got a letter from my doctor inviting me to…read moreattend for one in each arm. I couldn't make the date and they were inflexible, moreover they only offered one appointment on a day of their choosing. All of the pharmacies in the province can also administer these jabs and most are walk - in for the purpose. I happened to be close to this pharmacy yesterday so popped in. All was straightforward and we got appointments for today so at the time of writing it's job done. The pharmacist was attentive. She went through the usual questions on allergies etc; she was wonderful. Painless and quick with two sore arms at the sites. I mean I never even felt a sting. If it wasn't for the sore arms I'd be easily convinced I didn't get the jabs. If there's no reaction in next 36 hours then that should be that until next time. We also get free covid test packs so each of us left with a pack of seven. And there was me thinking covid was tamed.
