Yes, 5th Avenue = 5 stars. The First Star is for friendly, experienced staff and management. This is the second location for 5th Avenue Nails which started out in Cork Speaking of two, Star #2 for two levels with the best massage pedicure chairs in town downstairs. This is great if you don't want the world to see your feet/watch your pedicure. Me likey. Star Three: Jobs, jobs, jobs. As in they do an awesome one with great colour choices, including shellac. The Fourth star is for fair pricing, given level of service and there's a nice menu of options, so you can nail down what you want. And 5th, the place has a nice, neutral decor that would be at home anywhere including the real 5th Avenue in New York City. No pink here. Men will feel welcome. So, take 5 and get your nails done right! I HEART 5A.

Quick, efficient and great looking shellac

I've been to many a nail salon in Dublin in search for the best quality manicures in town and from all my experiences I've settled on 5th avenue as the place to go. And by settled, I don't mean settling in quality! They have a wide array of different polishes and colours and I've never had a bad manicure done there, whether 'normal' polish or shellac, regardless of who was doing my nails on the day. The price is not the cheapest in town but also not the most expensive and if you want quality I think it's to be expected to pay at least mid range price, so I think for the high quality you get, the price is fair. The place is always busy so it is recommended to book ahead, I wouldn't chance just walking in - I've done it on occasion but would recommend booking ahead if you can. I also get my waxing done here so it's like a one stop shop and always happy with those results too. Because it is quite busy I'd say it's not the place if you want to have a relaxing pampering, but for someone like me who is often rushing from one place to the next I actually like that they are pretty fast. I recommend this place to anyone who asks me where to get their nails done over any place I've been to in Dublin.

A couple of days after... 5th avenue manicure

What I really like about this place is that the appointment booking is so handy. You can go to their website and answer the preferable date and time. They will immediately get in touch with you via email. You are welcome to make calls, but if you are a shy person like I am who prefers booking online or email correspondence in general, this option relieves your stress of making a reservation. I booked lemongrass treatment which includes a little bit of massage and scrub on both hands and feet. I could not get the staff's name who looked after my hands, nails, and feet. However, she was perfect because she not only made my nails look good, but also she knew when to be chatty with me and when to just leave me alone reading over some magazines. Some people may get annoyed by talkative manicurist but she was not. She exactly knew when to start a conversation and when to let me be quiet and relax. I will come back to this place for my next treatment. I love this place not only for this convenient and friendly service but also the great quality of manicure and pedicure application.

My experience there was great. The nail technician was very friendly and did an amazing job however try acrylics didn't last as long as I'm used to. First pic is the day after I got them done. The second is a week and halfish out. I'm use to getting filled two weeks without any lifting. I made an appointment online and it quoted me at 95. At time of check out it was 115. I was able to peel off the nails shown in pic at a week and 4 Days . overall service was good. Not worth the money

When I rang to book my pedicure, I was told I got the last appointment of the day so I should be on time as they close at 6pm Sundays. Fair enough if a little blunt. The girl who looked after me (Susan) was lovely. My feet were soaked, scrubbed and massaged, nails clipped and hard skin removed. She didn't mind me laughing when she worked on the bottom of my feet, I'm awfully ticklish which can be awkward with some people. The colour was applied carefully and with precision and I'm very happy with the outcome. I took off 1 point for the colour selection. As I was one of the last ones that day, most colours were all over the salon. I initially wanted a coral tone but there was none left on the shelf.

Girl in the City manicure with Essie polish.

I've been here a couple of times, twice I got the eyebrow wax and one I got the "Girl in The City" manicure. Both times I was really happy with the results-- the eyebrow wax in particular is really well done and they really take the time to make sure the shape is just right for your face. The place is always jam packed so it's important to make an appointment at least early the day of if not a few days before. There are probably more than 15 therapists working the nail bar at any one time; they don't chat much but it's quite comfortable and relaxing to just sit and be pampered. The treatments are quick but it doesn't feel like you're being rushed. This was the first manicure I ever got-- I have pretty good nails and I've always been into looking after them myself-- but I wanted to see how the professionals would do it so I could learn a few new tricks. I loved the cuticle cutter-- had a really nice result and made my nails look so much more even. Definitely going to find one and try for myself-- although I might leave it to the professionals, for fear of amputating my fingers!! There's a decent colour choice, the standard paint is Essie and then you can choose to pay 5 euro more for either a long-lasting quick-drying polish or for a french manicure. The pricing is very reasonable and it's always very tempting to load up on different treatments every time you go there. My manicure had such a nice finish and my nails were perfectly shaped. The polish lasted probably 5 or 6 days without chipping-- far longer than I've ever managed myself! Worth a try-- just make sure you get an appointment. I would give a five star for the waxing treatment, and if I could, I'd give a 4.5 for the rest, but only because it doesn't quite have that luxury spa feel.

I'm quiet fussy when the subject is manicure, I normally go to a Brazilian girl , who is exceptional, but I was invited by a friend who normally comes to 5th Ave to get the nails done, I need to confess that I didn't expect much, but since then I have been going back to there every 2 weeks to get the Girl In The City Manicure and I found this girl called Nelly, she is the best. If you like to get your cuticles done go with her.

You can make an appointment on the website. It's easy. And then you can check prices. Price is reasonable and You can drink procceco when you go to there on Sunday!

3 weeks after my shellac manicure and it's still totally perfect. Very impressed!

I booked in for a coconut manicure and pedicure and was offered prosecco, which I think is a very nice touch.

I had been backpacking throughout Europe for 2 months in desperate need of a wax and was on my way to Iceland for a spa week, so I decided to try sugaring - I will never go back to waxing! Not to mention, she was the most EMPOWERING aesthetician I've ever met - no judgements and had a great conversation about embracing womanhood. I totally recommend!

My usual brow bar has closed - shock horror!! And they consistantly did such a good job too…read more So I think of Brazilia, where I've had... ahem... an other type of waxing done. As I push the door open I realise the place been painted and new carpet has been put down.... all the way up to the second floor the place is looking spiffing. It was fine before, maybe a little worn and torn. But now the interior is looking mighty fine I must say. I meet my wax technician (not sure thats the title for it, but thats the one I'm giving them!) and I immediately start into how I want the eyebrow shaping to go... precisely. I got the impression she was a little taken back by how pendantic I was about it. But I explained to her that I've had awful experiences in the past with eyebrow shapings that had gone terribly wrong. I think she understood, I hope so anyway! It went fine. More than fine, my eyebrows were shaped exactly how I explained it.

I've been coming here for a good few years now, they make you feel 100% comfortable, their wax is the best around, not that awful strip wax, and two different types of wax that leave your skin feeling moisturised and soft, not pulled and sore. Their therapists are fantastic, so professional, and you build up relationships with your therapist, they have this knack of remembering little bits and pieces about you too! They always have sweets in both the waiting room and the therapy rooms, it's like an extra little treat. They have great incentives, at the moment it's 20% off all treatments but they run offers throughout the year too. I'd never go anywhere else, and they even send you text the day before just to remind you of your appointment. They book up uber fast, so be sure to book in advance
