My family and I stopped in, as we try to every year. Upon walking through the door there was a gentleman behind the counter and a guy sitting at the door. Right through the door was a bunch of random old magazines and a few books that I sorta dug from under a shelf. I ask the guy how much for the books/magazines and he replies those magazines are 25 cents some 50 cents and books are 2$ That he has more on the shelf. I pick up 5 randoms and start towards the back of store. The guy behind counter tells me to leave my stack on the counter as I look. He proceeds to start scanning the books with his phone to check for anything he saw with value. He then says "Ma'am this one will be 5$ its selling online for 20$."
I saw other Books on the shelf ranging 1$ to 1.5$.
I decline the book and leave. Last year upon visiting this thrift, a similar thing occurred.
Other than that, it was your typical thrift store. read more
