I saw a couple of items that I would have bought, but I was on a mission to buy a pot for an outside plant. After asking a very friendly employee where the pots were located, I found them and discovered that all of their pots are for decorative, artificial plants. Bummer. But my visit to Hobby Lobby paid off when I saw two cute puzzles (40% off!), which I will give as family gifts for our grandkids.

On top of that, I had a great time, too! The store was fully stocked with Christmas inventory and I was there for it! There are so many beautiful things to choose from. It's a no brainer!

Good-bye Michael's! Hello '50% off Framing!' I was a sucker for Michael's 70%-off deals ... but…read morewhen prices are inflated (which I didn't realize) you end up paying more than you would in independent shops. I collect vintage etchings of a particular New York-centric artist whose work I often purchase on Ebay. My last find were under-valued pictures that required framing (like most of what I purchase.) For no reason other than curiosity -- plus positive Yelp reviews -- I priced the job at '50% off Framing' and bingo! Their custom framing was notably less than what I'd been paying. The staff is helpful and friendly. They came up with the least expensive way to achieve what I was looking for, and the results are great! As I said, "good-bye Michael's!"

Beyond my expectations and just super wonderful people to interact with, the quality of work is exceptional. I had a case and frame made for a diorama and it elevated the piece above and beyond. They are a very busy shop so bring some patience and you will find in the end it's so so worth it! He was to frame a replacement print and return the one to be replaced. Instead he decided he would not send it back and hoped no one would notice. Well, when I had to return another prime he framed for me because of poor work I noticed that he took the original print I brought in and framed it and put it on his store wall to sell. When I told him that it was my print and it needs to be returned to either me or the artist he said "you got the replacement so who would know I keep it unless you tell them". I told them I would be calling the artist as I paid several thousand dollars for it and only a crook would try to keep it and try to sell it. He said I had nothing better to do then turn him in and told him I was just doing the honest and right thing to do. Any one that wants more information can DM me but I would stay away from this business.
