A great selection of local artists' prints - framed & unframed, at reasonable prices.

We dropped off 2 large custom art pieces in 2021 to be framed and delivered to our condo at Sundial…read moreto be hung. We never received the framed art, nor did we receive any receipt of delivery. These were very expensive custom pieces, plus we paid them in advance, over $600 for the framing job. Then the hurricane happened and the island was tore up. We had tried to call them several times, and never heard back... so we gave them some grace understanding that they were dealing with their own hurricane circumstances. We decided to go talk to them in person once we finally made our way back to Sanibel, which was this week. This has been the first year our condo has been inhabitable. We made sure to make time to come check in to find out what had happened to our art,and instead of being open to have a reasonable conversation he immediately yelled "you're not welcome here" and proceeded to get pissed off/ irate and start aggressively yelling In both of our faces. We said please sir all we would like is proof of a receipt, a signature, or literally anything that proves delivery- and we asked how he planned to make this right, and he said since it must have already delivered, we will have to take his word for it because "I usually do what I say I'm going to do." Well, we never received it, and after trying to have a reasonable conversation with him, it is clear that we need to accept that are artwork is permanently gone, And they permanently kept our $600. Then he told us he always sends a text post-delivery, yet was unable to produce said text. He yelled "You are not welcome here!" and followed us to our car, recording us as we were trying to leave. If you aren't a racist you wouldn't have been threatened by our presence. You have poor work ethic, rude, dishonest, wildly aggressive, unable to have a reasonable conversation (unless that's only with brown people.) *Just because my husband has brown skin does not mean he threatened you. We did promise to post an honest review. That was not a threat, sir. *They continue to claim that Sundial received the artwork but its verified that there is no receipt of delivery. Sir, if you're so confident then I would encourage you to go over to Sundial and talk to Cara yourself. Being that she manages all the deliveries for all the units.. You see, sir, you stuttered and fumbled with your words In regards to the whereabouts of our paid-for/ framed artwork, she did not. In fact she was 100% confident that these pictures were never delivered. Call her up yourself, go for it., I would encourage you. And at the end of the day it's your word against hers. She has been the manager who has serviced our ENTIRE REMODEL and EVERY SINGLE DELIVERY.. (We received many deliveries!!!!) In very plain English, to my face, she assured me that 2 GIANT LARGE custom art pieces from Sanibel Art and Framing were never delivered to Sundial. And maybe you're not a racist, maybe you're just a theif? Really hard to say because I didn't expect to get yelled at when we came to find out what happened to our art. Maybe you sold it, lost it, or got an insurance payout for it. And you definitely took advantage and left us with no receipt or anything. Usually honest business owners don't yell at their customers, That was my first clue that you are a scoundrel, or you hate dark skin people, because we never threatened you.. You just need to embellish your story because once people found out we never threatened you, Then maybe they'll question why did you feel so threatened by us. Since you're deliveries to Sundial don't seem to work out, we have made sure Sundial is aware of what you've done to us, So hopefully they'll be leary of trusting you again after that. I already talked to the officer, sir. It's weird how one my husband told you they've been at Sanibel for 50 years you didn't believe him. He Is 52 in his parents got it when he was a baby, they've been here that long. I don't know why you laughed at him when he said that, was that not a super racist? It sure seemed and felt like it. Normally I would expect a business owner to try to help us figure it out and really pinpoint exactly where and when it was delivered so hopefully we could try to find it. But you didn't try to help us at all you just told us to go away and call the cops.
