We were looking for restaurants near the beach that we were going to, and found Fifty Brunch on Apple Maps but not on Yelp, looking at their menu, we wanted to try it out!
It's a small cute corner shop with most of the seating outside of the building. The tables are in the shade with fans constantly going.
In our two visits to Fifty Brunch, there was really only one person who spoke good English, everyone else tried but we could get our point across without really knowing any Spanish. Very friendly staff and most of the other patrons were also American.
My sister has had many versions of avocado toast, and this was her favorite! They use a cream cheese and avocado spread that makes it so creamy with a hint of lime. Then it's topped with slices of avocado, bacon pieces, and an egg. We both ordered the avocado toast two days in a row, out of the 4 toasts that we got, 3 of them had a runny egg white, which I'm not a huge fan of, but when eating it all together I couldn't even tell .
I also ordered the matcha açaí bowl. It was delicious! But also how I found out I was allergic so something about strawberries in Mexico! So didn't get to eat too much of it.
My sister ordered a fruit plate. It came with a mix of watermelon, papaya, cantaloupe, strawberries, bananas, blueberries, a blackberry and one slice of a kiwi. Also had a side of yogurt and granola and nuts.
For drinks, I had an iced latte and she ordered the matcha latte. Both were good! read more
