The Roofer was out within a couple of days to do an estimate and completed the work quickly after. They fixed the mess the other guys had made and I couldnt be happier with the quality of their work. I was referred by a well-respected home inspector to three contractors for work needing to be done…read moreon our recently purchased home. The home inspector did not have The Roofer, Paul Olguin's phone number. I found the only and presumed business phone number online. I called to see if I could set an appointment to look at our roof problem. The phone rang several times then the operator said the number you have dialed does not have a mailbox set up, goodbye. I had called three other types of contractors to set up other work needed for our new home. Later my phone rang a person said you called this number what do you want. Caught off guard I said who is this as I am not sure who you are. He said you called this number don't you know, I said I did not have the numbers memorized and was not sure who was calling. The caller did not offer his name personal or business. He said well when you figure it out call me back, I am busy and have other calls to make then hung up. When calling a business I am used to hearing XYZ contractors you called how may I help you. He never would tell me who he was or give me information. I was so taken aback that I did research and found the referred numbers I had called and found that it was Paul Olguin owner of a roofing company call the Roofer. If he had indicated who he was when I said who is this I would connected the dots. He was just rude and avoided telling me who he was, then he said when you figure it out call me back then he hung up. My first thought was he had a bad day and wanted to throw his phone through a wall. My second thought was if he would act this way to me now, I should be thankful that I had dodged a bullet and should keep looking for someone else to pay money to. My third thought was that I should let other potential customers know what type of person they would be dealing with. I have never reviewed a company before. I am not a crackpot, I have a long history of working with contractors and all would return my call to do business again. I pay the bill and have been told by others I am a great communicator and easy to work with. Maybe this roofer has so much business and is so successful that he doesn't need new customers. I truly hope this is the case!
