She is located in one of the multitude of Hoag Medical buildings within a couplex in Newport. The nurses here are very nice, caring and congenial. Allergy tests were performed (the method where they put an array of tests on your back) which helped narrow down the allergies. Dr. Gupta then reviewed the allergies, explained in detail how and why allergies occur and what line of testing and treatment she would like to follow plus took time to answer all my questions. She then had me do a blood test and make a return visit to review everything. She really pinpointed what was causing my allergic reactions. Dr. Gupta instills confidence in her knowledge and abilities. She is very professional, helpful, caring and courteous; a beautiful person both inside and out.

Every time I come for immunotherapy, Robert is super kind and very helpful. I appreciate his patience and awesome customer service skills. Immunotherapy is the best decision I've ever made and I'm so glad I went with this facility. Check-in, wait for your name to be called, get your injections, wait 15 minutes, get a final check and then you're on your way. My allergies have significantly reduced since starting treatment and I encourage anyone considering to do it. Dr. Lee is super patient and kind. Probably one of the most welcoming doctors I've ever met. She takes the time to listen to your concerns and provides ample solutions to getting you treatment where your concerns are. My biggest advice for anyone trying to set appointments or change them: if they don't pick up, it's because they're genuinely busy. If you're stopping by for immunotherapy already, it's best to just talk to the front desk while you're there to make your appointments or changes, and to pay any outstanding balances you may have.

We've been with this practice for a couple of years and the last time we were due to run out of serum, we were given a form to sign and authorize insurance to renew. Despite this, they still didn't create new serum setting us back on our schedule- less than ideal when one of your kids is on a biological med to manage his asthma. Today we went to go get our shots and were advised that our serum had expired since our last injection several weeks ago but no one had advised us or had us sign the required authorization form. Even more disappointing is that we've had several conversations within the last month with Dr. Carr as well as office staff regarding our pending relocation and the process for transferring our existing serum to the new practice. Unless you want to add managing your allergy serum expirations to your already busy schedule, I suggest finding another provider until this office management improves

Two weeks passed and I hadn't heard from the office or pharmacy so I called the office and Mario replied that there was a delay in getting the prescription. I called again and again and emailed the office. Mario said my insurance didn't approve the prescription and they need to appeal it. I asked him to call me to update me when the appeal is sent in. I never received a call. I called to follow up and emailed several times then asked Mario to leave a message for the doctor to call me and the office manager to call me. His response was I will have the prescription sent to your pharmacy. I asked him to still ask the doctor and manager to call me. Nothing. I emailed to follow up with him and he said the doctor said she doesn't get involved with insurance only medical issues. I then asked if the manager was going to call me and never received a reply. There seemed to be zero concern over my care even after I expressed that this time of year is very difficult for my breathing. It may sound like I could be a difficult person and that's why I'm writing this review but I literally have never had this happen at a doctor's office and my doctors have even said I'm such a nice person. So do with this what you will but it's very disappointing because I thought I had finally found a new allergist. NOTE: I just read another bad review in which the office responded to call and talk to the manager. I do not recommend Dr Zimmerman at all. She is VERY money driven. She told me I needed to leave my home because of the mold. Money was an issue with me at the time, obviously, and I was in absolute tears. Her only response was to quickly try to schedule AND CHARGE $$$$$ me for another appointment to discuss how we would deal the mold issue. No compassion at all for the situation I was in. About a month later, she sent out a letter to her patients saying she was "retiring". An ethical doctor would probably stop taking new patients if they were getting ready to retire. Why would you take on new patients if you knew you would not see them through the process of getting better? Then a couple months later she sent another email to her patients saying she wasn't going to retire, but was joining another practice. Something is just not right here. I am now seeing a functional medicine doctor in Montana that is wonderful and not money driven. A PIECE OF ADVICE FOR EVERYONE, YOU DON'T NEED TO SEE A FUNCTIONAL MEDICINE DOCTOR BASED IN OC. NO TEST SHOULD HAVE BEEN OVER $500. SHE SENT ME TO THESE LABS. BE VERY CAREFUL OF HER "3RD PARTY CHARGES". I can understand how frustrating it is when labs send surprise charges, which is why I always recommend that patients try to find out from Quest and all other labs up front what all their charges will be. I never want anyone to experience the stress of unexpected charges. The $2500 bill was not from our office; it was from a lab where this patient chose to get testing done. The payments are handled by the lab and not by my office, so I'm sorry that I'm not able to help with 3rd party charges.

Okay, so I have had several sinus issues and sinus surgeries over the years to address chronic…read moresinusitis. The ENT who was treating me had concerns about doing any further work and couldn't quite pinpoint the reason for recurring sinusitis (as seen by CT). That ENT was great because they knew they were at their limit of expertise and recommended Bhandarkar to review and take any further action. In Dr. Bhandarkar's office, they have an endoscopy machine, and he's extremely adept at using it. He can instantly look into your sinuses and visually see what is occurring with no discomfort. Usually, when I've had in-office endoscopies of my sinuses, there's some pain, maybe even bleeding afterward. No issues of pain or discomfort at all. He'll show you and explain what he's seeing, so you know what's going on. Unfortunately, there were some issues with my prior sinus surgery, so I needed to have revision surgery. They did an outstanding job of working with me and my insurance to be sure everything was adequately pre-approved with my insurance. The results of the revision surgery were exceptional. I don't get the severity of the sinus issues I previously had. I'm able to exercise a lot better now that I can breathe a lot better, as well.

I specifically wanted an specialized rhinologist, rather than the general ENTs I had seen. 8am appointment, yet front door remained locked, with long line of patients waiting outside, until 9:20am. Then I waited another hour before his non-doctor assistant came in and did the entire exam. Dr. Bhandarkar never came in or communicated in any way. Second appointment I made clear it is to be with the doctor. I waited 1.5 hours (way too long again!) before his assistant came in again, and told me I was "next" to be seen by the doctor. After nearly another hour, I stepped out of the room, only to find that Dr. Bhandarkar had left for lunch, skipping me again. So his office lied to me and the doctor no-showed twice, yet still billed high specialist and facility fees. Trying to talk to anyone in authority at UCI is impossible -- endless holds on the phone. Clearly the doctor and his staff have very little respect for their patients. Still awaiting a call from the doctor.....

He's very thorough. When I would ask him a question, he would close his eyes, think about it, then open them, make some notes, and give me a thoightful answer. He said I had many variables that he wanted to consider before answering. I call him Buddha because he is wise and kind. He solved another problem that I didn't really come in for, sciatica, by recommending a special form of vitamin B that is more absorbable, magnesium, and gogi berries. He wasn't trying to sell them to me. (I can get them anywhere.) Following his recommendation, in two days my sciatica was gone. Lastly, the office quoted me the price of food allergy tests beforehand ($500), which is what I came in for, and let me think about it before proceeding. I like that. With my insurance, it was only $105 for an hour's worth of his time and his recommendations. Very reasonable. I recommend him. I like his natural approach and his deep reflection before answering.
