During a six-month…read moreperiod, there were no follow-up phone calls to assess patient status and minimal outreach overall. This pattern seems to recur specifically at the time of refill requests, creating pressure to book an appointment in order to receive medication. The communication through the Healow app has also been disappointing; responses from staff have been unprofessional and unhelpful. Overall, the level of service has been very POOR. The front desk staff are awful, Stephanie in particular. Called 5 times and was hung up on all 5.. again a doctors office with no customer service is not a good one I have worked in healthcare for nearly 20 years and have never experienced patient care handled in this manner. I would encourage prospective patients to be aware of these issues before choosing this practice. And last but not least if you disagree with them, they delete you off the Healow app with MY patient records and cut access to your medications..

That's my experience at every doctors office I've been to, until now. At One Medical in Brickell you're welcomed into an open living room setting by Bri and Eliza who are both super friendly and professional. Don't get too comfy in the waiting room because you'll be taken on time (in my case they took me early.) And it wasn't a nurse or assistant who came out to greet me. It was the doctor herself. Dr. Rosie Singh is awesome. Friendly, knowledgable, compassionate, very easy to talk with. She explained a medical condition better than the specialist who treated me. for it. She gave me around 30 minutes of her undivided attention (unlike a previous primary care physician who breezed in and out of the examining room in minutes!) Her follow up was same day. I went to have my lab work done after my physical and waited less than five minutes to be seen (I went on a weekday morning.) Adriana took my blood sample and was a gentle pro (despite my uncooperative veins!) Plus, my lab results were ready the very next day complete with Dr Singh's comments. Every inch of the office is immaculate. This is not your typical doctor's office visit. While I hope I don't have to visit frequently, it will be a pleasure to return to One Medical.

PROS -- I give very high marks to Dr. Daniella Iribarne, the doctor I worked with during my initial experiences with One Medical. She's great--5 stars. One Medical is lucky to have her. She knows her stuff, has a good bedside manner, and seems to actually care about her patients. -- Front desk staff and labwork technical (Carlos) were professional and friendly in the office. Staff gets 5 out of 5 stars. The rules around lab work appointments and operational things like that are not their fault, and they are likely unable to change company rules. I don't want my review to be a knock on the people themselves, who were all exceptional, professional, and helpful. However, I do want the company to take a look at operations and tighten up to offer a better process to patients that is more in line with the fact that this is a paid concierge service. I have only good things to say about all the employees I dealt with. Great job everyone! -- The Brickell office is clean and much nicer than your average doctor's office. You are not stuck sitting in the waiting room if you have a pre-scheduled appointment. I give it 3 stars for the cleanliness and quick processing. Comparatively, at Forward (Brickell office), they give you fancy snacks, and you don't have to sit in a waiting room at all; zero time wasted and zero exposure to waiting room germs, so that's a really tough act to compete with. -- Parking validation (yay)! CONS -- They do NOT do pre-scheduled blood work! So you may have to come in and wait for an hour to be seen for the blood work. Professionals have busy schedules; not allowing scheduling and expecting people to wait for hours is silly. Not the kind of high quality their target consumer, who can afford to pay for a conceirge program, would expect. Patients shouldn't have to travel to the office in hopes that you may be able to "fit them in". This is very SLOPPY One Medical, tighten up. Patients have better things to do than sit in a waiting room, no matter how clean it is. Guess what, I don't want to sit there being coughed on and losing time. The blood work situation has me annoyed (leaving me an hour of time to write this review in the waiting room), so I am giving the labs system one star. Company needs to improve this and allow for pre-scheduled lab appointments (again, not a knock on the employees themselves, who were all great and just following a bad company policy)! -- When I messaged on the app for help rescheduling an appointment, they (offshore staff, AI bots, not sure?) failed to respond in a timely manner. I received a response after the appointment was already finished, which is a bad look. Do not offer an app and blow up the app with all these "we are here for you" and "welcome", messages and then not deliver on your customer service promise with appropriate and timely follow-ups to patients using the app (Forward is similarly disappointing on the follow-ups and app, using AI bots for most things). OVERALL In comparison to Forward (a similar but pricier out-of-pocket medical concierge program), for now, Forward wins in terms of more high-tech client-centric onboarding and patient rooms, no gross waiting room, they send you a welcome give, and the in-office experience is fast where it matters (no gross waiting rooms, labs drawn on the spot with no wait), and slow where it matters (you don't feel rushed by the doctors), which is nice for busy professionals paying for convenience and perks. However, Forward does seem to have diminishing returns on those months when you are paying for the service but not using it, and they don't do a good job of integrating with your actual insurance provider. One Medical is only $200.00 a year, and you are paying $150.00+ a month for Forward, so there's a big price difference as well that you have to weigh in line with your budget. I wanted to try One Medical in hopes that they'd do a better job linking up with my insurance and compare, overall, to the value received at Forward to objectively pick whichever is better. The jury is still out. I will update this review after a few more experiences with One Medical. So far, I give it a solid OK/GOOD. 5 of 5 stars to Dr. Iribarne. If it wasn't for her and the great staff, I'd give One Medical 3 stars overall. I haven't worked with the other doctors, so I can't speak to the experience there, but if you can get Dr. Iribarne, then you will be in good hands. One Medical is a good option for a slightly more elevated doctor's office experience. You'll get great staff and a very clean office conveniently located in Brickell. If you are looking for a more high-end white glove experience, it's probably worth it to spend extra for Forward or another more pricey service (though Forward has its own CONS list and certainly isn't perfect).

Systemic Communication Failure and Unprofessional On-Site Staff…read more Although the in-office appointment with the physician was satisfactory, the follow-up and communication system for this Baptist Health-affiliated practice is significantly flawed. It may be considered dangerous. The only way to contact the office for any questions (such as prescriptions, lab orders, etc.) is through the general Baptist phone service. While this system works well for scheduling appointments, it falls short in addressing other patient needs. The doctor's office staff never delivers or returns messages taken by the call center. This occurred regarding an update needed for a lab order. After leaving multiple messages with no response, visiting the physical office location was necessary. The receptionist was rude, unprofessional, and dismissive. She refused to contact a nurse or help resolve the issue in person. Because there is no direct line of communication to a person at the local office, and due to the staff's rudeness and unresponsiveness, this practice poses a serious risk to patient care. If follow-up is needed, you will likely be ignored. Potential patients should seek care elsewhere until Baptist Health improves this system.

Dr. Raben has been my primary doctor for awhile now, and part of the reason I chose her is that she has Saturday hours for established patients without an extra fee as long as you have an appointment. Regular copayment is always better than an urgent care center copayment! She has a lab, x-ray & ultrasound machines in her office, which make it more efficient whether getting a routine physical or a diagnosis when you're sick. In addition to treatment, she also offers some nutrition related medicine such as the vitamin IV's, which I'm a believer in. Dr. Raben's also offered phone consults before it was trendy. Her staff is friendly and helpful in getting your appointments. Heads up, Dr. Raben is direct. Besides still keeping paper record like the old day her bedside manner is to the point and lets you know what you (and yours truly) sometimes might not want to hear about your habits and health. That's the only reason I'm giving a 2 and not a 1.

I'm really glad I finally found that with Dr. Singh. This is the first time I've had a primary doctor who focuses on prevention and takes a comprehensive view of all aspects of my health. She genuinely takes the time to get to know me as a person and as a patient, rather than just a yearly visit. She dedicates as much time as needed--often scheduling multiple appointments to make sure everything is thoroughly covered--and she's always accessible for ongoing questions and support. Everyone in the office is kind, efficient, and very helpful. I'm very grateful to have found Dr. Singh and her team, and I highly recommend them to anyone looking for thoughtful, personalized, and prevention-focused care. Once I went to a real functional medicine Dr they discovered what the cause of all of my health issues was in one visit. I really enjoyed seeing Dr Singh, unfortunately she prescribed me a new medication at every visit. Prozac, Wellbutrin, adderall, Xanax, etc. A functional medicine Dr does not polydrug their patient to mask their symptoms. Then came my 4 year long journey of withdrawal due to Dr Singh abruptly taking me off all the antidepressants she had me on. She has done this to 2 other people that I know personally, and they have suffered equally as much as me as a result. When I realized that I was in withdrawal, her only response to me was "want me to send you another prescription for Prozac?" I stayed off all the meds and finally made out of the withdrawal hell, battled severe withdrawal symptoms including depression, suicidal ideation, panic attacks and horrific akathisia just to share a few and I now feel strong and amazing and I am returning to warn others and perhaps educate the Dr herself of the damages that overprescribing can cause. I think Dr Singh has good intentions and I really loved the aspire health model. I suffered so much from the effects of her negligence that I would feel terrible not speaking out.
