If my luggage wasn't so full with other goodies, I would have splurged on some really great pieces at this thrift store. Location was hard to find at first since there is no signage, but once you walk in you are greeted with an extensive selection of jewelry, clothes, knick-knacks, and other pieces of furniture. My boyfriend was amazed at how many antique sports cards he found. Clothes were reasonably priced! Do not expect anything of the highest quality here: it's a damn thrift shop. Come open minded and purchase your next golden piece here! read more

This place had excellent reviews on Yelp so we decided to visit. It was full of items, however the selection was not totally great. The prices were super cheap though and I would probably come back if I lived in Kona I needed to get something handy for the house. As far as tourists go though, I would recommend you go to the Goodwill down the block. It's much bigger and has a really good selection of clothes. The prices are also less expensive than Goodwill in the San Francisco Bay Area. The highlight of visiting 4Good Thrift is the gay bar with an outdoor patio right next door called MY BAR. It was only 1 PM so we didn't go in, but we were surprised and heartened to randomly see a large gay bar waving two pride flags out front. read more

I believe this location all goes by Aloha Vibes Thrift and Gift. I came in on a Wednesday and was looking for shorts and I hit the jackpot. I walked out with 6 pairs of short for $31. There is a single changing room in there. The lady that checked me out was very nice. There were so many nice dresses in there that I wanted as well, but I need shorts this summer. I definitely liked the clothing as it was clean, good quality and good value. I will be coming back. read more

Nicely arranged small thrift store. Didn't buy anything but I'm certainly willing to come back

Hi it's helping the community with reusing instead of going into the landfill. It's it or miss like any thrift store . Go help.out the community. read more

Stopped by on a whim, hidden gem on the island. Owner was amazing and friendly! Must stop by when in the area!!

My husband and I came here to look around since it seemed like they had pretty good reviews and we had some time to kill before catching our flight home. The inside of the store looks like a giant garage sale with a lot of different items from clothing to baby necessities, books and movies to toys and jewelry. When we arrived, it was 4:45 and closing time was 5pm so we knew we weren't going to be long out of respect for the business. When we walked in, our greeting was a young kid yelling "ugh mooom, why do people pick NOW to come in?!" My husband & I exchanged uncomfortable glances, but chalked it up to a kid being a kid. We made a quick loop through the movies, the clothes and the toys and made our way towards the front. As we were looking, another customer walked in - I glanced at the time and it was 4:50 I was looking at the jewelry and found some really pretty pieces I was wanting to purchase - I also found a glasses case that I was obsessed with and asked my husband to buy for me. As soon as I pointed out the items I liked, the lady at the counter loudly said to her kids "go get your stuff, it's time to close right now" and the kids cheered and yelled "finally!" We looked at our watches - 4:52 While I understand long days and wanting to be home or outside, it's incredibly rude to push customers out, especially when you can see/ hear them picking items to purchase. We felt unwelcomed from the moment we walked in until the moment we were "pushed" out by their comments. read more

Limited inventory. Disappointed in what they had. Wish they took it back to the cool store it was 2 years ago.

Great finds and great prices! So many unique pieces and trinkets. Wish we spent more time here but we were on a mission to find fins for our snorkel gear. Total score and I found a really cute vintage purse. read more

4Good Thrift - score! Vintage purse, fins and a cute new born dress and some plumeria hair pin souvenirs and necklace - Thrift Stores Near Me - Kailua-Kona, Hawaii

Well curated. Cute items at decent prices. Far superior to the joke known as Goodwill, which is nearby. The only good thrift shop I found in Kona. Check it out! read more

What a cute thrifty! This stop doesn't have a huge selection of things. A dabble of electronics, a dibble of housewares, a larger selection of woman's but the thing I liked the most was the jewelry and bag section. Both sections had a mix of new and old. My friend bought a brand new backpack for an affordable price and I picked up some jewelry to give as travel gifts. Ladies (and gentlemen) at the counter were so sweet and helpful. I really loved the backpack my friend bought and they said they would check if they had more. They didn't (which is good because I don't need another backpack) but so nice they checked. Go spend some money here! read more

Cute store lots in t things to look at good prices just didn't find anything but a mug... but I'll check them out again someday

On a day I dropped off loads of clean sellable clothing..but no generosity in return, (offloaded $100s, I asked for a $4 dress for my grandaughter in trade..). Other thrift spots will do a trade. In general, not here. Not a deal breaker forever, but was on the day. read more

Clean, very well organized. More like a boutique thrift store in items are more curated. $1 music cd's is a good deal.

This place has unbeatable prices. There's lots of mid-range clothing, but you're bound to find some gems too. and you're bound to find high-quality clothing. I found a pair of amazing everyday shorts, and seemingly unworn Merrill zippered hoodie, and a pair of high-end fins. The place is relatively small, so you can be in and out in under 30 or less if you're pressed for time. read more

Rude employee!! We walked into the store a few minutes before 930am not knowing that they didn't opened until 930. The female employee walked into the store from outside after helping someone load a crib and rudely told us that the store was not open yet. I asked if she wanted us to wait outside but she ignored me so we continued to shop. She also ignored us or gave us a delayed response if we asked her a question. She later apologized and said she was startled that we were in the store. If you are startled then be startled not RUDE. read more

Such a Wonderful lil shop with a wide variety of items. Clean & well organized...more like a boutique! Does not smell like a typical thrift store...not musty at all ....also has a cool crystal shop that also sells great Essential oils connected next door to it!! And the workers have such wonderful aloha!! Highly Recommend!!! read more

This is a small thrift store. Prices seem reasonable. We were trying to find some Hawaiian shirts but couldn't find anything in our size. I would come back to look on my own time though! read more

Bought ripped pants, tried to return them. They were 4.50. FOUR DOLLARS AND FIFTY CENTS!! I threw out the tag because i found out after I tried them on. It was literally last night and he was really rude about it & pretended like he didn't remember me even though I've been in the shop several times this month. So I guess I just won't shop here and I sell vintage and thrift for a living so BIG MISTAKE on his part. His "thrift " items are over priced anyway. The Sally shop right around the corner is WAY BIGGER AND BETTER. GO THERE! read more

Lovely store! Magical vibes and the owner is a special person indeed. I found several dresses on my last trip to the island. I get compliments all the time! Thanks again for giving new life to used items!! read more

I love thrift stores, that said I walked into 4Good Thrift with excitement. Opened the front door and the male behind the counter looked at me while twirling a bracelet of some sort and continued to twirl. I walked around for a good 5 mins. He never acknowledged me, asked if I was looking for something, informed on sales. NOTHING!!!! Bummer, I saw some items that I liked but refuse to purchase with that kind of customer service. read more

4GoodThrift is the best thrift shop I've ever been to. My friend and I both got Tommy Bahama Hawaiian shirts In great shape for $15 and $12, respectively, and I got a Hilo Hattie's shirt for $7!!! I also found a couch pillow that will match perfectly at home that was 50% off of $3.50. Plus, they give 20% off to anyone over 55 and I qualified for that ... and an additional 10% off for guessing that the badminton birdie was called a shuttlecock! The owners were absolutely so nice. This place is definitely worth a stop. read more

We just visited there yesterday. We love the place and all the unusual, cool items inside. We found 4 cool items inside. The lady at the counter even gave us a discount. We will come back next time we are in Kona. read more

Today was my first time going into this store. It felt more like walking into a boutique store than a thrift store. Everything is arranged so nicely and the store is clean, cool, and comfortable. I purchased 4 tops and a new pair of sunglasses with tag still in place on glasses for $20. There was a lovely selection of new hand crafted jewelry for sale at unbelievable prices. I had recently purchased a bracelet for $33 somewhere else and found a selection of similar/better new bracelets at the store for $5-$6!! As other customers came in, it was obvious they are regulars at the store, which I will be as well! read more

I was on a mission for very particular decorative baskets. I found one I thought would work, had a price tag on it, and was holding like four large necklaces inside. I asked the older male employee where I could put them so I could buy the basket, and he proceeded to get agitated and said his employees were probably supposed to take that off and told me there was another basket for sale, and proceeded to point to an Easter basket? Yeah, a great thing to tell an interior decorator. How do places like this remain in business. read more

The staff is very nice, they have ice tea for you to enjoy while shopping! A/C on high..thank you! I only bought UNO cards, this visit. I will be back the next time I am in Kona. Clean, smells good and has dressing rooms. read more

I was exploring the Kona Industrial area, on my way to Discount Fabrics and Kona Bay Books when I first saw the Ohana Goodwill Store (see my review). Was looking for womens "Aloha wear" for myself; found a few things but when I asked another shopper if she could recommend any other thrift stores in the area she immediately told me about 4 Good Thrift, just up the street. A truly lovely shop, owned by a couple who are both originally from California. "Julie" -I did not get her name, one of the owners, knows a lot about vintage Hawaiian clothing and tries to carry quality items, made in Hawaii. She suggested I try on the shirt in the photo, it was perfect. Beautiful fabric, nice cut, in great shape, for $6.00! I was not looking for any other items but there were plenty of other clothes, accessories and household items to choose from, all well organized and priced. The store is clean, the owners friendly and interesting folks to talk with, plus they donate a portion of their proceeds to good local causes. Shop here instead of Waikoloa! read more

4Good Thrift - Beautiful Aloha shirt, made in Hawaii, that I purchased at 4Good Thrift. - Thrift Stores Near Me - Kailua-Kona, Hawaii

Lovingly curated thrift store with cold AC and a friendly staff. Prices were clear & fair - kids books for 50 cents, for example, picture frames a few dollars. Clothing (including plenty of Aloha wear) was in great condition and sized - I didn't see anything that was ripped, stained or torn. Definitely worth a stop if you are in the neighborhood and looking for some deals. read more

Great little thrift store. Staff is very friendly and welcoming. Great prices as well. Can't wait to go back again.

Very very organized for a thrift store. So if you're looking for a short & quick shop then this is a good place to go. Although it's a small store so there isn't much selection on clothes, books, household items etc. No antiques either but some jewelry. read more

A higher end thrift store compare to the Salvation Army across the street. They have air conditioning here which is great given the heat and humidity outside! The prices are still pretty comparable though. Well organized, you can quickly skim through the racks to find treasures. Got a comfy t-shirt that is beyond soft and a hippie-style, fitted yoga pants for only $8. read more

Wow. From the moment I walked in, I knew this was gonna be big. I crossed the threshold and was immediately greeted by a lovely woman who had a face like she could babysit your kids for a month without complaining. She offered to sate our thirst and at the same time offer some brief respite from the sweltering pyre of atmosphere from whence we came with a rather fashionable jug of ice tea. Only a single upset could've lost the glittering little store a star, which was that they had in their possession not a single pair of normal sunglasses. They did happen to have, however, a small pair of flippy smiley-faced sunglasses, which were declared "awful" by some and "amusing" by others. I was somewhat disappointed by this lack of stock when suddenly the cashier, this angelic woman of godly kindness, offered me her very own pair, free of charge. What a woman. What a store. I must additionally give credit where credit is due. A certain thrift store in the vicinity declared itself to be open and was, in fact, very much closed, while this one was accurate and honest about the state of its ringency. I will definitely peruse this establishment again. I also got the flippy glasses. read more
