I have had oral ketamine treatment before but never iv infusion. 1. There is no nurse to assist only the anesthesiologist. 2. No proper explanation of risks was given, only a waiver to sign. 3. You should have someone to drive you there and MONITOR YOU and take you home, do not rely on Lyft or Uber even though they allow it. If you are prone to motion sickness or are sensitive to anesthesia you should be aware this will cause nausea to the point of vomiting, anti-nausea medication should be given PRIOR to treatment. I was vomiting while unconscious and had I laid my chair all the way down I would have choked and died. Ketamine dosage is based on weight, if you have anything artificial in your body that adds to your body weight be sure to tell the anesthesiologist. I was given too much, and almost died. If you are hypersensitive to medication in general this treatment may not be for you, if you have a heart condition or high blood pressure this treatment is NOT for you. Do not do treatment after consuming caffeine also. I am young and do not have a heart condition, but I still had complications.
