Two words... GO HERE. My husband and I just dined here and had an amazing night! Currently we are…read moreon our honeymoom and have travelled through wine regions in Spain, France and Italy; weve had a lot of amazing food but tonights experience was unforgettable. Reservations were recommended but made easily by our hotel concierge and upon arriving we were happily greeted by an amazing english speaking waitress. As foodies, wine lovers, and travelers we always like to ask for recommend ations and try the local specialties --- i encourage you to do the same! We started with a warm chicken salad with castlemango cheese, which was light, warm and delicius. We were also told the tartare was a must have however we had a similar dish for lunch and wanted to tey aimething different. Similarily when we looked at the primi course we picked what we hadnt had in the last 24 hours -- luckily this was a gnocchi with rascerra cheese (add pepper for extra deliciousness!) For the main course we had two specialties that are traditional piedmontese and as we were advised not found in many other restaurants. This included the tripe (cow intestines) stewed with leeks from chervre and the Finanziera which we were told is basically entrails from various animals battered, fried, then added to pickled vegetables with a white wine and vinegar added on top of all and marinated overnight. Its served as a gumbo or stew od sorts. If you arent adeventuresome please dont be scared off... these dishes were AMAZING! The tripe tasted like a cozy chicken soup with a consistency of calimari, the Finanziera had acidity that reminded me of a giardiniera but with savory sausage noodle taste covered with a rich broth. Accompanying the meal we endulged in a local white and red wines including a Barbera which we were very pleased with and ended the meal wit a chocolate bread pudding (half eaten in pic...whoops!) And a hazelnut crumble bite offered by the house... Molte buono!!
