Still five stars. We came in looking for a number of things. Kind of a scouting mission. REI has…read moreplenty to offer for hiking, camping, biking, kayaking, and more. We are looking for, among other things, a smaller tent (ours is huge) that we can easily lug around with us and REI has a large selection. We signed up for their membership several years ago. Just tell them your phone number when making a purchase and you get credit for the purchase. We picked up a UV protective t-shirt as a gift for someone. It was reasonably priced imho, very soft and moisture wicking. Brilliant. I should probably get myself one too. BTW, the company no longer offers bags. None. So bring a reusable bag if you plan to shop here. It's just another way to reduce waste and be a good steward. Some of the prices can be high, but not everything. They sell Patagonia which is an expensive brand, as well as other, more moderately priced items. You just have to know what you want and what you are willing to pay. If you check out the bulletin board upstairs, they offer guided excursions that look really fun. I check out their selection of hiking poles as I am looking to buy some. Everything from really reasonable basic models to foldable, light weight pricey models. So you have options. They have pet items. Personal care items. Clothes and shoes are upstairs. So many types of water bottles. Camping items for both the thru-hiker and the car-camper. Check them out. They are a good resource and the staff are friendly and happy to assist.

Not only do they have a vast selection of shoes, their prices are also very reasonable, especially for name brand and high quality running shoes. Stuff for fans…read more I believe this is store is brand new because I've been by here before and never noticed it. It has lots of autographed pictures of the Celtics, Patriots, Bruins and of course Red Sox. Some cool new pictures and lots of older, more expensive autographs of New England sport legends. Didn't see any shitty Yankee stuff in here so I guess it is just New England sports. Besides autographs and pictures they also have some hats, shirts, flags and banners with the usual logos. Even some trash cans and baby bibs and I saw something that I assume to be a dog sweater with the Red Sox logo. So if your canine happens to enjoy sports this is the place to buy him a present.

I would love to find another comfortable brand of shoe that can handle long walking distances but I never seem to find much in my size. The styles are a bit pricey and too fancy for my liking plus the shoe section can be an absolute mess with shoes not in the correct spots and all over the floor. I completely disregard the clothes because a few times I've seen a sign that says an item was under $39.99 and then you look at the price tag the Nordstrom rack price tag, and it was over that amount so I was very confused by this. I also don't like the style of the clothing in here. It's just not my cup of tea but that's fine. It might be for others but they do carry the shoes that I need so that's why I continue to come here. I've also never seen an employee greet me ever only when I'm checking out. Very odd.
