I reached out on Instagram and received a super quick response and apology! I just made an exchange today at the Farmer's Market and the customer support was excellent. Extremely apologetic (even though he didn't need to be -- it wasn't a big issue and was an issue with the manufacturer) and very pleasant to work with.

I walked into Hometown Collectibles in Emerald Square Mall. As I walked into the store I greeted the guy working behind the he said hi and I proceeded to look through the store. About 10 minutes later an older man (who I discovered later was one of the owners) walks in and starts to loudly berate the counter worker about a person wandering around the store (me) and he wasn't watching me well enough. I have been collecting comics for many years and in the back of the store I noticed a huge stock of comic books, but they are separated from the customers by display counters so there is no way for me to look through or purchase any of them. The owner came over to me pretty much to see what I was doing in his store and I asked about how he sells the comics. He told me a story about how he sold some comics at a low price and that purchaser's friend came in to also buy comics and "bragged" about getting a good deal. The owner does not sell out of the store anymore because he doesn't think he can get every penny he can and will only sell graded books online. I highly suggest you stay clear of this place. The owner does not care about making happy customers only about how much money he can get out of you. The prices are unrealistically high, the greed factor is very strong with this establishment. The owner will not even sell to you unless he is confident he has gotten your very last dollar. The owner treats both his employees and customers with a great deal of contempt.

Falling for the trend, I had to get my hands on my own Labubu! Labubu is a small monster with high, pointed ears and serrated teeth. Despite a mischievous look, Labubu is kind-hearted and always wants to help. Aren't they so cute? I hurried over to Newbury Comics and they had THE MONSTERS - Have a Seat Vinyl Plush Blind Box, THE MONSTERS - Exciting Macaron Vinyl Face Blind Box, The Monsters Coca-Cola Series Figures Blind Box, and The Monsters Lazy Yoga Series Blind Box behind the checkout counter. There is a limit of purchasing 3 of each type and no holds. A few hours later, I saw an update on the post that Have a Seat and Exciting Macaron Blind Box were sold out. I am so glad Newbury Comics carries these blind boxes and even have a whole Pop Mart section. I've also purchased hippers. Hippers are adorable decorative mini figures come with adhesive tape to stick onto your laptop, desk, phone, bookshelf, and more. I've stuck them on my monitor and my desk organizer. Stuff for fans…read more I believe this is store is brand new because I've been by here before and never noticed it. It has lots of autographed pictures of the Celtics, Patriots, Bruins and of course Red Sox. Some cool new pictures and lots of older, more expensive autographs of New England sport legends. Didn't see any shitty Yankee stuff in here so I guess it is just New England sports. Besides autographs and pictures they also have some hats, shirts, flags and banners with the usual logos. Even some trash cans and baby bibs and I saw something that I assume to be a dog sweater with the Red Sox logo. So if your canine happens to enjoy sports this is the place to buy him a present.
