From the outside it looks like an ordinary neighborhood party store. Inside, though, is another story. Since I went there looking for a good craft beer selection, I was very pleasantly surprised at what they had to offer. In fact, I was quite impressed with their selection for them not being a one of the bigger, national liquor outlets. This store is much bigger on the inside than it looks on the outside. Everything is arranged by type of beverage, and the walk-in beer cooler is ENORMOUS. As for craft beer (the reason I entered in the first place), the selection is solid. Not only do they have a great selection in the cooler, but also on two different locations on the stock shelves, and their pricing is right in line with most other beverage outlets. I was delighted to find a fantastic stock of Three Floyds (one of my current favorite breweries) in stock, as well as DuClaw and Founders. I can't really speak to the countless other beverage types all over the store, but I'd be very surprised if you couldn't find what you're looking for. The facility is pretty well maintained, but empty and partially-empty boxes in quite a few locations gave it a bit of a cluttered feeling. Being located where it is on Bardstown road makes it pretty accessible, but getting out of the parking lot during heavy traffic periods can be a pain. All in all, of the smaller liquor outlets we've been, this one rates up towards the top because of the amazing selection.

This store is tiny, but mighty, as I saw a lot of unique choices on the shelves. I loved the wine selection for a small spot like this. I knew I wanted bubbles and decided to go with a cava. I got both a sparkling white and rose--rose cava? Hm, I wasn't sure about that... Turns out - I absolutely loved it! I do not like a sweet rose with too much bouquet. This pink cava was dry, crisp, with a hint of berry and a nice toasty finish. The team offered to help me to my car (as I was buying quite a bit for an event.) I highly recommend not just the conquilla brut rose, but this friendly local shop. Shop small, y'all!

I'm pretty sure their location does quite well specifically because of their location, but the folks that work here are also pretty nice and accomodating. I've always been greeted when I enter the store, they've responded and restocked when I asked for something they were out of, and their prices are pretty darn reasonable. Did I mention thier hours are outrageous? They open fairly early and close pretty darn late. Now, it is worth mentioning that they are fairly close to some iffy locations and this introduces some not so savory people into the shop. Nevertheless, it's never presented a problem. They don't allow people to hang around on the premises (inside or out) and in all honesty most of the customers are students. It really is a one stop shop and there is absolutely no beverage you cant find here!
